Hi, Stampers!
A new Alphabet Challenge starts today with the theme “O is for Owl.” Firstly, I had to really look through my stamp stash but I found one in the Wildlife Wonder set – Yippee!! I wanted to use the new Fragrant Forest stamp set as the background since owls are fond of trees, obviously, and kept the card simple to keep it masculine and love how it turned out.

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this card started with Pecan Pie cardstock, cut to 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2.
And now, the fun part!
- So, the background of this card is part of the fun, don’t you think? All I had to do was stamp the Fragrant Forest stamp with Shaded Spruce ink in my Stamparatus, then lightly colored between the trees with my Ivory and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends markers.
- Once that was done, I cut it out with the largest Deckled Rectangle die and layered it onto white cardstock. Then, they were adhered to the card base.
- Then, the owl was stamped in Pecan Pie ink, cut out with the Nested Essential die and layered onto Pecan Pie cardstock.
- After that, I wrapped Linen Thread around the panel and taped it to the back.
- Finally, I added just a touch of bling with Blooming Pearls.
Then, on the inside…
- Since I am not sure what occasion I will be using this card for, I left off the sentiment. So, I cut white cardstock with the Deckled Rectangle die and layered it onto Shaded Spruce cardstock.
- Lastly, I stamped the trees I found in Scenic Wonders stamp set to finish off the inside.
