Grassy Grove Popup Box Card for Creative Creases #68

It’s time for a new Creative Creases challenge. Firstly, thanks to all those who participated in the last challenge! If you haven’t played in the challenge yet, I hope I can inspire you to join the challenge that’s starting today! I have a fun fold that is lots of fun to make, called Center Popup Box Card, and the Grassy Grove stamp set made the perfect focal point for the beautiful Winter Meadow designer paper.

Once you’re finished here, check out the current Creative Creases challenge; just click the button below!

My Card Today

Today’s project has a few names, but I will call it a Center Popup Box Card. I made one before, so I thought it was time to do it again. This fold is very easy to make, and it folds flat for mailing! This card is perfect for the holidays and your family would love displaying it during the holiday season.

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, the card base is 4-1/4″ x 10″ and scored at 1-1/4, 2-1/2, 3-3/4, 5, 6-1/4, 7-1/2 and 8-3/4. Then, at the 5″ score line, I cut a slit with my trimmer, leaving 5/8″ on both sides.
  • After that, I cut 4 panels of designer paper, cut to 1-1/8 x 4-1/8.
  • Fold and burnish all of the score lines into mountain folds.
  • The image panel, cardstock cut to 2-7/8 x 5-1/2, and two panels of designer paper, cut to 2-3/4 x 4-1/2.
  • Once the designer papers were adhered to the cardstock, I adhered the ends of the card base together with the image panel centered between them. To do this, I adhered the image panel to one end first, then fed it through the slit at the 5″ score line. After that, I adhered the second end to the first one, which completes the base.

Now, the FUN part!

  • Once that was done, I had fun stamping the deer and three sets of trees from the Grassy Grove stamp set and coordinating dies in Lost Lagoon ink.
  • After that, I stamped the “Merry Christmas” from the Beary Cute stamp set and cropped it out with the Stitched Rectangle die.

Then, on the back…

  • Once the front was done, I stamped the sentiment from the retired Dove of Hope stamp set, leaving just enough room for a personal message.
  • Then, I stamped the Peace, Joy, Love sentiment from the same stamp set and cropped it out with the same rectangle die.
  • Finally, I thought the card needed some bling so I placed some snowflakes and topped them with the Blooming Pearls.

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:
