Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!
Hi, Stampers! We have a great blog hop of fun fold crafters today so I know you will enjoy the inspiration this month. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along and see all of the great inspiration from other creative SU demonstrators. This fun fold is such an easy fun fold that I recently made. This one is clearly a winter card, so it’s perfect for this month’s blog hop. Although the Snow Much Fun stamp set I used is retired, I can’t give it up. I just love snowmen and these ones are super cute!
I have to apologize for the photos, though! We are currently out of town and I didn’t realize that the photos I took at home were on the blurry side. It’s so difficult to take good photos of foil cards but I persisted! These photos are the best I could do after several tries.

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this card base started with 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ cardstock.
- After that, score at 2″ both ends on the 8-1/2″ side.
- Then, on the 5-1/2″ side, cut between the two score lines at 1-1/2″ from both ends.
- Finally, on the 8-1/2″ side, score at 4-1/4″ on only the top and bottom pieces to the cut line, and score at 3″ on both ends at 3.”
- Layers:
- 1-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ for both outside panels
- Middle section: 2-1/4″ x 3/4″ sides
- Image Panel: Cardstock: 2-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ and white panel with sentiment cut to 2″ x 2-1/4″
- Top and Bottom Panels: 2″ x 1-1/4″ (4)
A2 card measurements:
- So, after posting these cards a few weeks ago, I heard from a few of my followers that it wasn’t the right measurements for an A2 envelope. So sorry about that!! These are the measurements from my original card that you can use for the card base.
- Card measurements: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ cardstock and score at 2-1/8″ on both sides for a basic gatefold card
- After that, cut between the score lines at the 1-1/4″ mark from the top and bottom of the card
- Then, score at the 3″ mark between the cut lines on both sides of the card
- Finally, score at 4-1/4″ from the edge to the cut lines.
- I made DSP panels for each section:
- 2″ x 5-3/8″ panels for the outer panels (2)
- 2″ x 1-1/8″ panels for the upper and lower inside panels (4)
- 3/4″ x 2-7/8″ panels for the middle inner panels (2)
- 2-3/8″ x 2-7/8″ panels for the center panel (1)
Now, the FUN Part!
- Once that was done, I stamped the two snowpeople and colored them with Stampin’ Blends (colors below).
- After that, I fussy cut them out and attached them to the card base (the right one popped up with dimensionals).
- Then, I stamped the “warm wishes” and cropped it out with the die from Autumn Leaves. Once that was done, I layered it onto a piece of the Snowflake Magic designer paper and popped it up with dimensionals.
Then, a view from the top…

Oh, gosh, Debbie…Noah is so handsome in his outfit. Your card is great but unfortunately can’t be a contender at PIP as there is a limit of 10 challenges, which includes PIP’s. Thanks for entering it there, however.
