Hi, Stampers!
A new Alphabet Challenge starts today with the theme, “T is for Texture” -we want to see your cards with embossing folders or paste, materials, ribbon, or twine. You know how much I love adding texture and layers, so I decided to use a new-to-me bundle, Heartfelt Hexagon, to make an all-occasion card that could easily be a great Valentine’s card with the pretty Sale-A-Bration Most Adorned designer paper.

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this A2 card started with white cardstock, cut to 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2.
- After that, I cut the red patterned paper from Most Adorned to 4 x 5-1/4, ran it through my die-cutting machine with the Basics 3D embossing folder, and adhered to the card base.
And now, the fun part!
- Once that was done, I cut the Flirty Flamingo cardstock to 3 x 4-1/4. Then, I cut the pretty patterned Most Adorned paper to 2-7/8 x 4-1/8 and embossed it with a second Basics 3D embossing folder.
- After that, to anchor the focal image to the background, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 1-3/4 x 4 and layered another patterned Most Adorned designer paper.
- Then, I stamped the sentiment from the Heart Hexagon stamp set in Real Red ink. After that, I stamped the dotted stamp around it and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.
- I found a baker’s twine in my retired stash that I tied into a bow, then added the Flirty Flamingo dots from the new Rainbow Dots.
- Once that was done, I decided that the card still needed a little “sumthin sumthin” so I punched out a couple of hearts from the patterned papers and popped them up with dimensionals to finish the card.
