Love For You Card for the Alphabet Challenge

Create this card using Love For You by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed @ Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

A new Alphabet Challenge starts today with the theme, “X is for Xtra Love/Hearts.” I have enjoyed this month of making cards expressing love to family and friends. I have truly enjoyed creating these cards and hope you can feel the love that I put into them. My card today started with me wanting to play with the Most Adored Designer Paper, one of the most popular products that are free during Sale-A-Bration, which ends on February 29th. So, to keep my theme of love going, I brought out a bundle that I haven’t used in quite a while, Love For You. When my grandson Noah was learning to talk, I taught him to say “I love you so much” so this set gives me some great memories of him saying that to me.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Alphabet Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this A2 card started with Real Red cardstock, cut to 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2.
  • After that, I cut white cardstock with the Postage die and layered it onto Blueberry Bushel cardstock, cut to 3-7/8 x 5-1/16.

And now, the fun part!

  • So, I inked up all of the words with Blueberry Bushel (a color that I have barely used but like so much) and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
  • To anchor it to the card front, I cut the large circle die with white cardstock with the Stylish Shapes die, then I dry embossed it with the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder.
  • Then, I cut a 3-1/2 square from the Most Adored designer paper. I mounted the circle on top and adhered the words on top, popping the “so” up with a dimensional for emphasis.
  • After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set and cropped it out with the banner die. Then, I popped it up with dimensionals onto the panel.
  • Before adhering the panel to the card base, I wrapped white baker’s twine around it and tied it into a bow.
  • Finally, to finish off the card, I stamped three of the small hearts from Love For You in Blueberry Bushel ink and cropped them out to glue them around the card front.

Then, on the inside…

  • So, to complete the inside of the card, I cut out another panel of white cardstock with the Postage die and layered it onto Blueberry Bushel cardstock.
  • After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink and stamped more hearts in Real Red ink.
