Hi, Stampers!
A new Alphabet Challenge starts today with the theme “W is for Weddings.” It’s February – the wedding season is coming soon! My kids are asking me for wedding cards all the time now, so I made sure I got the Lifetime of Love bundle. The dies make these cards so easy to create. Then, combine it with a neutral background paper, and the card is done in no time.
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Alphabet Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!
Create this wedding card using Lifetime of Love by Debbie Mageed at Secrets To Stamping dot com
My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Both cards are very straightforward and A2 size. The card base is 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2.
- Card #1: The background panel is Moody Mauve cardstock cut to 5-1/4 x 4 and Softly Stippled designer paper cut to 5-1/8 x 3-7/8.
- Card #2: The background paper is Moody Mauve Luster Paper cut to 5-1/4 x 4, then I ran it through the Basics embossing folder.
And now, the fun part on Card #1 …
- Card #1: I cut the Distressed Gold paper with the die from Lifetime of Love, then ran it through again with white cardstock. The white one was glued down to the card base with all of the pieces in place, then I colored them with Stampin’ Blends markers.
- Once that was done, I carefully glued the Distressed Gold die cut over the white one.
- After that, I stamped the Lifetime of Love sentiment in the middle of the die cut frame in Moody Mauve ink.
- Then, I added the Moody Mauve Dots to the card front for some sparkle.
- Finally, I had already glued the panel to the card base but decided that I wanted to add the ribbon across the top of the card. Ideally, that decision should come earlier so that I would have it in place on the panel only, but I don’t mind how it looks.
- So, do you like to wrap the ribbon around the card base or just the card front panel? Let me know in a comment!
So, for Card #2 …
- Although I liked how the first card turned out, I wanted to see if I liked it by paper piecing the flowers with colored cardstock instead of coloring them. So, I cut Very Vanilla cardstock (my favorite for wedding cards!) with the largest Countryside Corners die and cut white cardstock with the Lifetime of Love die and glued it on top.
- Then, I cut the Moody Mauve Luster paper just big enough to cover the flowers and glued them in place. Yes, it was time-consuming but I love the look!
- After that, I cut out several of the leaves and colored them with the Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends marker. Then, I cut out the trio of flowers from the same Moody Mauve paper. I arranged them at the top and glued them in place with glue dots. Then, the panel was popped up with dimensionals onto the card base.
- Finally, the finishing touch was adding the recently retired Speckled Dots to the centers of the flowers.

Debbie, I love these gorgeous cards. I have a couple of weddings this summer and these cards will be perfect. Always love Noah’s pictures. Enjoy your week!
I”d like to be able to click on your cards and see a larger version. Most blogs you can, but can’t with yours . Great cards though!
Love the two so different looks from same materials. First card I personally prefer to wrap ribbon on top layer before adding to base card.
On this card I think I would have tied just a bow and placed at an angle to counter balance the flowers at bottom. Just shows how one person’s idea kick starts a whole different lot of ideas.
Thank you for sharing your skills and talents. Would you mind if I case your cards? Regards from UK 🇬🇧
Incredible work! Thank you for joining us at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge! All the best.

Hi, these are really pretty. Just a size note – the cards are A5, and card fronts are A6, not A2 as per the post.
Thanks, Fiona! But a card front that is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 is an A2 size. Cards that are A6 are 4-1/2 x 6-1/4.
