Thoughtful Expressions All Occasion Card for the Alphabet Challenge

Hi, Stampers!

A new Alphabet Challenge starts today with the theme, “Z is for Zoology” – so let’s see your cards with any kind of animal. I know you have one that you’ve been wanting to use so get it out and play along. For my card today, I made this card when I first got the beautiful Thoughtful Expressions bundle. I had to have it!! My card is super easy to make but I love how it turned out.

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

• Firstly, this A2 card started with Pecan Pie cardstock, cut to 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2.
• After that, I cut Misty Moonlight cardstock to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, and dry embossed it in the Basics 3D embossing folder. Then, I layered it onto white cardstock, cut to 4 x 5-1/4.

And now, the fun part!

• Once that was done, I stamped the beautiful hummingbird in the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and colored it with the Stampin’ Blends (listed below). Then, I cropped it out with the coordinating die.
• After that, I stamped and colored the flower image and cropped it out as well.
• Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Filled With Happiness stamp set in Pecan Pie, then cropped it out with the frame die in the Thoughtful Expressions die collection. After that, I cut out the large die from the same die collection and dry embossed it with the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder.
• Since I thought the card still needed a little sumthin-sumthin, I cut out the subtle patterned paper from Poetic Expressions with the Countryside Corners die. I adhered this to the card base then began layering all of the elements to the card. The large circle die was popped up with dimensionals, then the sentiment before popping up up the flowers and the amazing hummingbird.
• Finally, I added a few Solid Gems for some bling.
