Paper Pumpkin April 2024 Alternative Cards Part 2

Hi, Stampers!

So, as promised, I have a couple more Paper Pumpkin April 2024 alternative cards to show you of the Paper Pumpkin April 2024 Kit. I saved my favorites for last, so you know they must be fun folds, right? The first card is my favorite and uses only papers from the kit. I did add a “hello” sentiment from the Garden Meadow stamp set. The second card is a gift card holder and uses the butterfly stamps from the kit and the Thanks & Beyond Add-on dies with the beautiful Flowering Zinnias designer paper.

I do apologize that this post is a bit later than I thought it would be. As I said in my last post, Noah was sick last week, so we cared for him. Of course, I got it after that, and then we got him back for the weekend, too! Anyhoo, here are the cards I promised you, and I want to know which card – out of the five I made – is your favorite! Click HERE to see my first three alternative cards.

My Secrets!

Card #4: Hello Card

Create this card using Paper Pumpkin April 2024 Kit by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets To Stamping
  • Out of the cards I made, this one is my favorite! I used lots of products from the Paper Pumpkin April 2024 Kit, then added the Basic Beige card base, as well as the Basics embossing folder.
  • Firstly, the card base is cardstock cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4.
  • After that, I cut the Basic Gray designer paper (originally a card base in the kit) to 5-1/4 x 4 and scored it from the left top corner down to 1-3/4 on the right side.
  • Then, I cut the basic beige PP paper from the left corner to 1-3/8 on the right side and glued it to the folded portion. (Note that if you are using double-sided designer paper, you could eliminate this step)
  • Once that was done, I dry embossed the champagne paper, cut to 4 x 2, and glued it to the card base before gluing down the second panel.
  • Then, I stamped the “hello” from the Garden Meadow stamp set in Basic Gray ink onto the frame from the kit.
  • Finally, I added the butterflies from the kit and added some pearls and gems.

Card #5: Thank you gift card holder

  • Firstly, I wanted to show how fun this Paper Pumpkin kit can be with our other products as well. I used the butterflies from the kit and the Add-On “thanks” die.
  • So, this card started with Melon Mambo cardstock, cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4. After that, I cut the Flowering Zinnias designer paper to 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 and layered it onto black cardstock, cut to 5-1/4 x 4. Then, it was layered onto the card base.
  • Once that was done, I stamped the butterflies and colored them with Melon Mambo Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I cropped the top butterfly with the Add-On die and easily fussy-cut the other one. Then, I popped both of them up with dimensionals.
  • Ater that, I cut out Melon Mambo and Gold Foil papers with the “thanks” die, and glued them together with the Melon Mambo offset just a bit to let the golf show through. Then, I glued it to a piece of black cardstock to make it pop, which was popped with dimensionals.
  • Then, I added a couple of black dots and a dragonfly to give this feminine card some sparkle.
  • Finally, to make this card a gift card holder, I made a panel of white and black cardstock and glued it onto the inside of the card.
  • Then, I used the diagonal-cut panel from the PP kit and trimmed it a bit to fit onto the white cardstock. After that, I added tear and tape to the two side edges and along the bottom for the gift card.
  • Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Zinnia stamp set, cut it down, and layered it onto black cardstock.

Poor guy! He wasn’t very energetic but still loved playing with his astronomy magnets. He really enjoys it since he is already learning the solar system in school – at 3!
