It’s time for a new Creative Creases challenge. Firstly, thanks to all those who participated in the last challenge! If you haven’t played in the challenge yet, I hope I can inspire you to join the challenge that’s starting today! Today, I have a Triple Flap Fun Fold card for you that I first saw on Cindy Brumbaugh’s blog. It’s fun to make and can made with any of your supplies. I used the Round We Go bundle because I used to love making rosettes for large holiday banners and wanted to add one to a card for the first time.
Once you’re finished here, check out the current Creative Creases challenge; just click the button below!
My Card Today
My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this A2 card started with the following:
- Card Base #1: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
- Card Base #2: 11 x 5-1/4, scored at 1-3/4 and 3-1/2 on both ends
- Front Panels: Cardstock: 3-3/4 x 1-3/4 (3), DSP: 3-1/2 x 1-1/2 (3)
- Inside Side Panels: 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 (2)
- Inside Sentiment Panels: Cardstock: 3-15/16 x 5-1/4 (dry embossed), Cardstock: 3-3/8 x 4-5/8 to layer under the sentiment panel cut with Perennial Postage die
Now, the FUN part!
- Firstly, I made the large rosette from the Calming Creek Card Base. I like this paper weight to use the rosette die because regular DSP will likely tear, but the patterned card bases are perfect for them. Once I cut the card base, I folded it up and closed it with tear n tape. Once that was done, I cut a circle with a punch (size doesn’t matter) and hot-glued the rosette onto it. Then, I stamped “Happiest Birthday” in Misty Moonlight ink and cut it out with the scalloped die, and glued it onto the rosette.
- After that, I made a couple of the other flowers with the dies, using Pool Party, Misty Moonlight and white cardstock. I glued them together and topped with a small circle.
- Then, I started on the inside of the card, cutting the Misty Moonlight cardstock and dry embossed it with the Basics embossing folder to add some texture.
- Once that was done, I cut white cardstock with the Perennial Postage and stamped it with the cute star stamp in Misty Moonlight ink. After that, I cut Pool Party cardstock to layer behind the sentiment panel.
- Then, I added the two side panels on the inside of the card.
- Finally, I added the three front panels, lining the top and bottom one with the edge of the front panels and leaving a small white edge. After that, I placed the middle panel in between them, lining them up with the top and bottom panels.
- The final touch was popping up the rosette with dimensionals to the middle panel and gluing the other two to the top and bottom panels.

Debbie, I’m with you on the rosettes. So glad they’re back, even though they are a bit smaller. At least we have the Simply Scored board to make bigger ones.
Super fun fold. Question, how many times did you have to line things up so they would slide together? HaHa.
Thank you for sharing and enabling me again.
Have a great weekend, my friend.
