Christmas Labels Fun Fold Card for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

Hi, Stampers!

This month, the theme is “All Creatures Great and Small.” We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal. I showed a great fun fold card on my last Creative Creases Challenge that was created by Mary Deatherage, which had a wonderful way to showcase small images in a very creative way. So, I thought it would be perfect for this challenge today. I used the Christmas Labels bundle and paired it with the gorgeous Nests of Winter designer series paper. I love how this card turned out and hope you will give it a go soon!

My Secrets!

Create this card using Christmas Labels by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets To Stamping

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this A2 holiday card started out with 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4.
  • After that, I cut the designer paper to 10 x 5-1/4 and scored it at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
  • Once that was done, adhered the DSP on one side and folded up the DSP, added glue to the end piece and closed the card to make sure that it would close. Then, I was able to make sure it was in the right spot and make any small adjustments before it dried completely.

And now, the fun part!

  • So, the card was done, I made the card front with the white cardstock, cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and the DSP cut to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8.
  • After that, I stamped the “Peace on Earth” in Copper Clay ink and cropped it out with the Christmas Labels die. I decided to cut another piece of white cardstock with the die to give it some strength.
  • Then, I fussy cut the sweet little bird and pop it up next to the sentiment.

Card when completely opened up…

Then, on the inside…

  • The inside of the card was easily created by cutting out more of the birds from the DSP. Once that was done, I cut out the circles from the Spotlight On Nature die and glued the birds on top. Then, they were glued to the accordion folds.
  • Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Copper Clay ink and cropped it out with the Wildflower Designs die.
  • This card was fun to make, so I hope you try it soon! This card does fold flat for mailing but is thick where the accordion folds are, so you will be paying more for postage.

There’s more inspiration to show you, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. We hope you will come back for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be “Orange Theory.”

Until then, have fun in your craft space!
