Paper Pumpkin June 2024 Life is Sweet Kit

Hi, Stampers!

I have a few cards to show you all today that I made from the Paper Pumpkin June 2024 kit. To be honest, I had initially skipped this kit for a few reasons, however when Stampin’ Up! had their July sale, I bought the refill kit, which contained everything except the stamp set. This really is a fun kit to play with and made these cards for my daughter.

My Secrets!

Card #1

Let’s start with the card base…

  • This card was the first one I made from the kit and used a fun fold that I had seen Patty Bennett do in a Live video recently. So, the first thing I did was cut white cardstock to 7-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored it at 4-1/4 and 6-1/2.
  • Panels: the large panel was cut from the kit’s card base to 3 x 5-1/4 and the small panel was cut to 3/4 x 5-1/4.
  • Once those were adhered to the card, I went rooting through my retired stash and decided to use the Full Basket dies to cut the large basket and fun little napkin. I adhered the sides down, then I “filled” the basket with the peaches and leaves from the kit.
  • After that, I stamped the sentiment from Hooray for Surprises (such a cute stamp set with great sentiments), and cut it out with the Spotlight on Nature circle die. Then, I added the small peaches around it and popped it up with dimensionals only on the right panel, which allows the card to be opened to reveal the inside.
  • The inside has a panel from the same card base I initially cut.
  • Finally, I added the pearls to the peaches for some sparkle.

Card #2

  • So, for my second card, I made an easy Z fold from white cardstock, cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4.
  • After that, I cut the Peach Pie card base from the kit to 5-1/4 x 1-7/8 (2) and another panel that was 4 x 5-1/4.
  • Then, I stamped the sentiment from Sunny Sentiments stamp set (retired but in my forever stash), cut it out with the Everyday Details die.
  • After that, I used the vellum from the kit and adhered it to the front panel just in the area where the sentiment would be to hide the adhesive. Be careful not to apply too much adhesive so you don’t adhere the panel to the inside! Once that was done, I added the peaches around the sentiment.
  • Inside: I used the beautiful leaf frame from the kit and carefully glued it down to the inside of the card. Then, I stamped the Happy Birthday from the retired Happy Thoughts stamp set and cropped it out with the Stitched Shapes oval die.
  • Finally, I added the larger peaches to the inside and pearls to the peaches on the front.

Card #3

  • My last card was the easiest of all! I used the card base from the kit, then added the vellum and leaf frame with adhesive.
  • I arranged the fruit onto the front of the card then adhered the glittery “miss you” from the kit.
