An Otterly Amazing Fun Fold Card for the Fun Fold Blog Hop

Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!

Create this card using Otterly Amazing by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Stampers! We have a great blog hop of fun fold crafters today so I know you will enjoy the inspiration this month. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along and see all of the great inspiration from other creative SU demonstrators. I have an interesting twist on a fun fold today, which I’m sure you have seen in the “portrait” position but this time it’s in the “landscape” position and turned into an easel card. The Otterly Amazing suite is adorable so I got it out to show it to you today. I have always loved otters so this suite was a must-have for me.

You won’t be disappointed with the Otterly Amazing Suite and it goes on sale on November 5th!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, I followed Karen Titus’ tutorial and added just a little bit here and there to make it my own.
  • Card Base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 1-1/4 and 4-1/4.
    • DSP: 1 x 5-1/4 (2) and 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 (2)
    • DSP for personal message: 3 x 5-1/4
  • Focal Image:
    • Perennial Postage cardstock: 4-1/2 x 3-1/4
    • Cardstock: 4 x 2-3/4
    • DSP Image: 3-7/8 x 2-5/8

Now, the FUN Part!

  • Once that was done, I adhered all of the papers to the card base.
  • After that, I stamped the “love you lots” in Pretty Peacock ink onto the focal image.
  • Then, I wrapped the beautiful cording around the focal image panel and popped it up with dimensionals onto the 1-1/4 panel.

Then, on the inside…

  • So, for the inside of the card, I stamped the “You’re OTTERLY amazing” with Pretty Peacock ink and cropped it out with the small Perennial Postage die. Then, I layered it onto Pecan Pie and Pretty Peacock cardstock.
  • I created the little “bumper” for the easel with the cute log, made with the die in the collection, cutting two of them to give it a little strength.
  • After that, I cut a couple of the rocks and adhered the little one to the card base and popped the larger one with dimensionals.
  • Once that was done, I cut out the branches with Pretty Peacock cardstock and glued them to the personal message panel.
  • Finally, I added the pretty irregular pearls for a bit of bling.
