Stampin’ Up! Cutest Onesie Card for the Alphabet Challenge

Create this card using Cutest Onesie by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

A new Alphabet Challenge starts today with the theme, “Q is for Quick and Easy.” This theme is different than “clean and simple” so I could get away with some layers ~ WHEW! When I think of easy cards, I think baby or masculine cards the most, and I had recently purchased the Cutest Onesie bundle (which is 20% off today). This bundle is a keeper because you can use it for all your baby card needs.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Alphabet Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • This card started with the Pretty in Pink cardstock cut to 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2.
  • Then, I cut the pretty checked DSP from Lily Pad to 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 and layered it on to the white cardstock cut to 5-1/4 x 4.

And now, the fun part!

  • So, I stamped the adorable onesie image onto another patterned Lily Pad DSP with Gray Granite ink. Then, I colored the hemlines with the Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends. After that, I cut it out along with two more die cuts in white cardstock, and glued them all together. Once that was done, I cut the hanger in white cardstock and slipped it into the cut made by the die.
  • After that, I stamped the “congratulations” sentiment in Pretty in Pink ink and cropped it out with the Everyday Details die. Then, it was layered onto Pretty in Pink cardstock and popped up with dimensionals.
  • Finally, I went to my retired embellishment stash to add the Metalalic Enamel Shapes heart.

Then, on the inside…

  • Inside, I cut the patterned DSP to 5-1/4 x 4 and layered white cardstock cut to 5-1/8 x 3-7/8.
  • Then, I stamped the sentiments in Pretty in Pink ink and a few hearts to finish the card.

I hope to share my card with these challenges:
