Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!
Hi, Stampers! We have a great blog hop of fun fold crafters today so I know you will enjoy the inspiration this month. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along and see all of the great inspiration from other creative SU demonstrators. So, I couldn’t decide which fun fold card to show you this month, but I decided on this card to officially begin the holiday season, using the Light the Year stamp set. This stamp set is great for the holidays and celebrations all year round, making it an instant classic, which means it will stay in my stash for years to come. Plus, the coordinating dies are always appreciated, as well.
This fun fold is such a great one for you to try since it is oh-so-easy to make and versatile, too! I made THIS card in the landscape orientation and THIS card in the portrait orientation. See what I mean? Two different cards with the exact same card base and very easy, so promise me that you’ll give it a go!
My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, I followed Karen Titus’ tutorial. This card is a little different from my first one, so take your pick which one you follow.
- Card Base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 1-1/4 and 4-1/4.
- DSP: 1 x 5-1/4 (2) and 2-3/4 x 5-1/4
Now, the FUN Part!
- OK, so the card base was fast to put together, and it’s time to make it pretty! Firstly, I stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink (my favorite red!). Then, I cropped it out with the beautiful Christmas Labels die, and trimmed off the sides. After that, I cut Poppy Parade cardstock and glued the sentiment on top. Once that was done, I cut out the Wildflower Designs die, popped up the sentiment on top, and glued it to the card base.
- I decided that there needed to be a cute image as well, so I fussy cut out the stocking image in the Sentimental Christmas designer paper. Then, it was popped up onto the card base.
- Any easel card needs something to prop it up so I cropped out the Celebrate from the Wanted to Say dies, glued them together and added it to the card base in the place where the easel hits.
- Finally, I just had to use the adorable Peppermints embellishments!

Are you looking for a fun game for kids? This one is called something like magnetic chess; Noah absolutely loved it and we laughed like crazy! Let me know in a comment if you would like the Amazon link.
Love all the red and that stocking that sets it off. I wasn’t disappointed by scrolling to the end. I’d love to see a video of Noah playing the game. However, curiosity got the best of me so I watched the video on Amazon…I can see why there was much laughter. Have a blessed day, my friend and thanks for the hop.
