Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms for Creative Creases #99

It’s time for a new Creative Creases challenge. Firstly, thanks to all those who participated in the last challenge! If you haven’t played in the challenge yet, I hope I can inspire you to join the challenge that’s starting today! I have made a Flying Seagull fun fold a few times and I always love how they showcase designer papers and such a great way to use up scraps! Memorable Blooms is a new bundle that will be available in January. The florals are very pretty and I really like the sentiments as well.

Once you’re finished here, check out the current Creative Creases challenge; just click the button below!

My Card Today

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this Flying Seagull card started with cardstock, cut to 8-1/4 x 4-1/4 (2) then scored at 2-1/4, 4, 6-1/4.
  • DSP #1 (outside panels): 2 x 4 (2)
  • DSP #2 (middle panels): 1-1/2 x 4 (2)
  • DSP #3 inside panels): 2 x 4 (2)
  • The center panel is cardstock, cut to 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 and DSP cut to 4 x 4.
  • The panels should be folded along the score lines and burnished well. The outside score line is a mountain fold, then the middle score line should be a valley fold and the inside fold should be a valley fold. The inside folds of both panels should placed together then glued to the back of the center panel.

Now, the FUN part!

  • So, isn’t this fun so far?!
  • The center panel was made with the Floral Delight DSP, cut to 4 x 4, then I cut the center with the Memorable Blooms die, which makes a wonderful centerpiece. Then, the panel was adhered to the center, with the die cut popped up with dimensionals.
  • After that, I stamped the beautiful flowers with Pecan Pie ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends (Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Peach Pie). Once that was done, I cut it out with the coordinating die in the Memorable Blooms dies.
  • I cut out two pieces of the branches with more paper from the Floral Delight DSP and layered them behind the flowers before popping them all up with dimensionals.
  • Then, I stamped the Unbounded Love sentiment in Old Olive ink and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner and popped up with dimensionals.
  • Then, I stamped the small image twice and colored them both with Old Olive ink, cropped them out and adhered them to the middle panels.
  • To write a personal message, I cut out two panels of white cardstock, cut to 2 x 4, and adhered them to the back of the center panel.

Folds flat for mailing…
