Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Birthday Card for Creative Creases

I have an easy fun fold card for you today to remind you that Creative Creases #99 is still going on! I have a Criss Cross card to show you using the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Paper that’s truly a must-have! The papers are beautiful and the coordinating cutout images make it so easy to create cards that anyone would love to receive. I used the Keeping Tabs bundle to finish off the insert for the card ~ love how it added the tab for pulling it out!

If you haven’t played in the challenge yet, I hope I can inspire you to join the challenge. Check out the beautiful projects in the gallery and play along; just click the button below!

My Card Today

Create this card using Wildflower Birthday by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets To Stamping

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, I made the card base, using this Splitcoaststampers tutorial.
  • Card Base: Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11 (2) and scored at 5-1/2. I cut each piece at a diagonal from the center top to the bottom corner edge. Please make sure you cut each one correctly so that the corners are going in the same direction when the other panels are glued together.
  • 4″ x 5″ piece of patterned paper, cut into two triangles to match the corner pieces of the card base cardstock. Secret: Choose a nondirectional paper for the first card you make. Plus, it would work out even better if you like both sides. If you want to use the same patterned paper on each side, then you will need two pieces.
  • Inside pocket: 4 x 5-1/4 patterned paper (optional)
  • Card Insert: Cardstock: 3-3/4 x 5-1/4 and cardstock or DSP: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4

Now, the FUN part!

  • Wow, that wasn’t bad at all! The rest is even easier!!
  • After adhering the Insert cardstock together with the Wildflower Birthday cutout, I stamped the Keeping Tabs stamp in Blueberry Bushel ink and punched it out with the coordinating punch. Then, I added it to the Insert Panel.
  • Once that was done, I chose the cake, balloon, and floral images from the Wildflower Birthday cutouts and added them around the opening (the cake and balloon were popped up with dimensionals).
  • Finally, I added the sparkly Drusy Embellishments to elevate the card even more.

  3. I’m loving this fancy fold with the insert, such a great design, and I agree, the paper is gorgeous. Noah is changing so much, he’s growing and his facial features are changing, if they only stayed small for a bit longer eh? Thanks for playing along at The Beautiful Blossoms and Paper Funday Challenges, we look forward to seeing more of your lovely designs soon.
