Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!
Hi, Stampers! Fun folds make every handmade card extra special, and today’s blog hop is FULL of great ideas! Whether you’re looking for a unique way to surprise someone or just want to try something new, you’re in for a treat. I’ve teamed up with very creative SU demonstrators to bring you a lineup of creative, must-try designs.
Easel cards have always been one of my favorites, and every year I love making calendar cards. But this time, I took it up a notch! I combined a calendar + post-it note pad into one easel card design—because let’s be real, we all need a cute and handy place for reminders! It’s the perfect mix of creativity and functionality, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
I wanted this card to feel cheerful and vibrant, and the Mediterranean Blooms designer series paper was the perfect choice! But the real star? Garden Green—one of my absolute favorite SU colors that I feel doesn’t get nearly enough time to shine! It pairs beautifully with the floral patterns, and I’m obsessed with how it turned out. What’s a color in your stash that you love but don’t use enough? Let’s give it some love—drop your favorite underrated SU color in the comments! 🎨💬

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this calendar easel card started with cardstock, cut to 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2.
- Front
- Panel: Cardstock: 5-1/4 x 4 and DSP: 5-1/8 x 3-7/8.
- Cardstock: 3-7/8 x 2, and dry embossed with Basics embossing folder.
- Cardstock; 2-7/8 x 2-7/8 to hold the calendar.
- Post-It Note:
- Cardstock: 6-3/4 x 3-1/4, and scored at 3-1/8 and 3-5/8
- DSP: 2-7/8 x 2-7/8
- Inside Panel:
- White Cardstock: 5-1/4 x 4
- DSP: 4 x 1-3/4
Now, the FUN Part!
- So, this card came together easily once I had the right dimensions. I do have to say that there were a few prototypes to get to this final card though.
- I left the card without any stamping but there are a few spots to add whatever you’d like. I may add a sentiment to the post-it note front and an area inside as well.
- I added one simple bow but you can add embellishments to make it sparkle.
- If you are interested to try my easel calendar card, here is the link to the Taylored Expressions calendar I used. Please note that the one I used here is the square calendar but they also sell rectangular ones.

Noah is all about breakfast, and his favorite? Cornbread! This morning, he’s busy stirring it up, getting it ready for the oven, while I’m next to him just trying to wake up with my coffee. 😂 There’s something so cozy about the smell of fresh cornbread baking—totally worth the early start!
Love the card, great idea.
Thank you for sharing, and I like cornbread muffins
for breakfast as well.
This is so darn pretty! And I’ll take a budding chef at my house for early morning cornbread, too! Wow are you a lucky Gramma!!!
Debbie, I love your Calendar and Post-It Note Card! So pretty and a beautiful gift idea! I am definitely going to give this a try! TFS!
Lovely work. I saw it on Crafty Catz
Well, of course, I LOVE your project. I just ordered more of the DSP, that’s how much I like it! Noah is becoming a “man for all seasons”. Lucky you, cornbread for breakfast! Have a blessed day.
