Stampin’ Up! Sending Love Card for Let’s Craft and Create Challenge

Hi, Stampers!

A new Let’s Craft and Create Challenge starts today and our theme is “Red, Pink and/or White.” February is the best of the entire year for this color combination and one that I don’t use very often. So, I decided to use the gorgeous paper from the Sale-A-Bration paper collection, Bloom Impressions (FREE with a $60+ order). Sending Love is such a sweet stamp set, so I thought it would be a great time to ink it up. It has coordinating dies and will be used for my family members who are far away.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, I started this Sending Love Z Fold card with Melon Mambo cardstock, cut to 11 x 5-1/2 and scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2. Then, I made panels with the Bloom Impressions designer paper, cutting one to 5-1/4 x 5-1/4 and two panels cut to 5-1/4 x 2-1/2.

And now, the fun part!

  • The fun part of this card was stamping the mailbox in Tuxedo black ink and coloring it with Stampin’ Blends (colors listed in my product list below).
  • Then, I used a Stampin’ Blending Brush to sponge Lemon Lime Twist ink to the bottom of the mailbox and used the coordinating Stampin’ Blends markers to give the stamped grass more definition.
  • After that, I stamped the envelope onto white cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I used the sweet little heart from the new February 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit on the envelope for a little splash of bling.
  • Once that was done, I stamped the little bird (you know how much I love them!) and colored it with the Balmy Blue and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends markers. Then, it was cut out with the coordinating die.
  • The entire mailbox was cut out with the Everyday Arches die and layered onto the next larger size that was used on Melon Mambo cardstock. I closed the card to place the panel onto the middle of the card – after making sure I only applied adhesive to the left side of the panel.
  • Finally, I stamped the Sending Love sentiment and the postage mark with Memento black ink and popped them up with dimensionals onto the front panel.

Then, on the inside…

  • The inside panel started by stamping the sentiment from Thoughtful Wishes stamp set in Melon Mambo ink and stamped the hearts from the stamp in Sending Love. Once that was done, I cropped it out with the Everyday Arches die.
