Hi, Stampers!
This is that bittersweet season in the Stampin’ Up! year where we say goodbye to some beloved sets. But what about the ones we never even got to use? Today I pulled out the wonderful nautical “Under the Moon” set—one I’d been meaning to play with—and gave it the spotlight it deserves. Paired it with the super easy and fun Joy Fold design to really let it shine! If this set’s been sitting unloved in your stash too, consider this your nudge to grab it and get creating.
And I would like to remind you that Creative Creases Challenge #102 is still open till May 1st, and I’d love for you to join in! Check out the gallery for inspiration and play along. Click the button below to enter your own creation!
My Card Today

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- One of the retiring In Colors that I am going to miss is Boho Blue! What a perfect color for my project today, starting with a piece cut to 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2. Once that was done, I cut 2-3/4 off the bottom of the front of the card.
- Panels:
- Front: Cardstock: 4 x 2-1/2 and white cardstock: 3-7/8 x 2-3/8
- Inside: Cardstock: 4 x 5-1/4 and white cardstock: 3-7/8 x 5-3/8
- Image: Cardstock: 3-1/8 x 3-1/8
Now, the FUN part!
- I wanted this card to be monochromatic to give the serene feeling of the ocean. So, I inked up the round sun image with Boho Blue ink and stamped it onto white cardstock.
- Then, I inked the water image with Misty Moonlight ink and carefully lined it up with the bottom of the sun image.
- Once that was done, I stamped the sailboat in Night of Navy ink and added it to the stamped scene.
- Then, I wanted a little life added to the scene so I inked up the birds from the retired Let’s Set Sail stamp set (so happy that I keep images like that). I cut the scene with a “contraband” die that I love for its deckled and pierced details.
- After that, I took the white cardstock for both the front and inside and stamped them randomly with the two cloud images in Under the Moon in Boho Blue ink.
- All of the panels were adhered together, then to the card base.

I hope to submit this card to the following challenges:
