Stampin’ Up! Snowy Delights Standing Z-Fold Card for the Fun Fold Blog Hop

Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!

Hi, Stampers! Fun folds make every handmade card extra special, and today’s blog hop is FULL of great ideas! Whether you’re looking for a unique way to surprise someone or just want to try something new, you’re in for a treat. I’ve teamed up with very creative SU demonstrators to bring you a lineup of creative, must-try designs. I have a great fun fold today, and I think I made one a few years ago. However, I wanted to make a winter-themed one using the pretty Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP. I paired it with the Snowy Delights bundle and love how it turned out.

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

• Card Base: 5-1/2 x 7-1/4 and score at 1-1/2 and 3
• Z-Fold Strips: I have to ‘fess up that I accidentally cut the first two strips wrong initially, but I just went with it and like the extra space between the strips.
  • 7-1/4 x 1-1/8 (2) (I put the smaller ones on the inside)
  • 7-1/4 x 1-1/4 (2)
  • Score all for strips at 1-1/2 and 3
• DSP: 2-5/8 x 1 (2), and 1-3/8 x 1 (2) (these go on the smaller strips)
• DSP: 2-5/8 x 1-1/8 (2), and 1-3/8 x 1-1/8 (2) (these are for the larger strips)
  • Put the DSP on the strips first and adhere to the card base, as shown
• Left and Right sides: white cardstock: 5-1/2 x 1-1/2 (2) and DSP: 5-3/8 x 1-3/8 (2)

Now, the FUN Part!

• The fun fold is the “star” of this card, so the snowflake was the perfect focal point, don’t you think? I cut it out in white cardstock and added the Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls for lots of sparkle.
• Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock and cropped it out with the oval die.
