Stampin’ Up! Brushed with Beauty Double Box Card for CC #111

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It’s time for a new Creative Creases challenge! Whether you’re a seasoned cardmaker or just getting started, I hope this card inspires you to play along. I made a double box card, which is easy and fun to make. I wanted to make a card base that would hold a calendar, then I made it pretty with Brushed with Beauty paper and the sentiment from Coneflower Celebrations for daily inspiration.

Fun folds are becoming increasingly popular. If you are ready to give one a try, let me know in a comment below. I’m more than happy to help you figure out how to get one started today!

My Card Today

Create this card using Coneflower Celebrations by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets to Stamping

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Card Base #1: 4-1/4 x 10-1/2 and score at 1/2, 1-3/4, 3-3/4, and 5
  • Card Base #2: 3-1/4 x 5 and scored at 1/2 and 1-3/4
  • DSP for Card Base #1: Cut a piece of DSP to 4 x 6-1/2, then cut from the top of the long side (in this order if you are interested in matching the DPS pattern) at 3-3/4, then 1, then you should have 1-3/4 piece left.
  • DSP for Card Base #2: 3 x 4, then cut on the long side at 1 and you will have a 3 piece left.
  • Back of Card: Cut DSP to 5-1/4 x 4 and another piece of a different pattern (or cardstock) to 6 x 3 and score at 3.

Now, the FUN part!

  • Firstly, I added the 2026 calendar (I ordered it from HERE) with adhesive.
  • After that, I stamped the sentiment from Coneflower Celebrations in Mossy Meadow ink. Then, I cropped it out with the die from the Textured Notes die collection.
  • I wanted to add a little bit of detail and found the perfect look with the Painterly Pears DSP. I cut out the flowers and leaves. Then, I added one of them to the sentiment and popped the other one over the lower corner of the calendar. Finally, I added the pretty Opal Rounds to the center of the flowers for a little sparkle.

Then, on the back…

  • I cut the DSP to 5-1/4 x 4.
  • Then, I cut the Mossy Meadow patterned paper to 6 x 3 and scored at 3.
  • When I ordered the calendars, I found THESE cute cards that coordinate, so I thought it would be fun on the back.
  • Then, I cut a piece of white cardstock, 2-3/4 x 2-3/4, and stamped the sentiment from the Unbounded Love stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink.

I hope to submit this card to the following challenges:

  1. A Perfect Time to Craft
  2. Cut It Up
  3. Die Cut Divas (calendar and coordinating card on the back)
  4. Ellibelle’s Corner
  5. Pattie’s Creations
  6. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday

Thanks for scrolling to the end!

Our lil’ 9 month old Musa got to visit his Auntie Sarah in Milwaukee on Christmas Day since she had to work. We had our traditional dinner out—yummy Lebanese food. (We found out later that the Chinese restaurant had a 2 hour wait so we chose the right place!) This little guy loves fresh pita bread and grilled chicken!

  1. Great choice for paper in the new year-so springy! I’m on Team Musa- pita and grilled chicken-yum!

  2. What a gorgeous project. Lots of love, time and effort here.

    Musa is growing up fast.

So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas for our January 2026 Challenge.

  3. Awesome desk calendar, Debbie! So pretty!
Musa is getting so big! Glad you were able to be with Sarah for a visit. Wishing you a wonderful 2026, my friend!

  4. Another fabulous card fold Debbie. I agree that fancy folds have become so popular and you create some of the best! Cute photo of Musa. You definitely made the right choice to go for Lebanese food, I don’t know anyone who would want to wait 2 hours for food. It’s 30 min. max for us unless we can leave in the meantime and then come back then the table is ready 🙂
So great to see you at my Garden Party!
