Peaceful Petals for RRCB30

Peaceful Petals, A Dozen Thoughts, Wildflower Fields, SAB

Hello, Stampers! I hope you all are ready for a new Retro Rubber challenge! It’s always good to have a “just because” card handy. You never know when you’ll need it! I go through them very quickly indeed. I decided to use my Peaceful Petals stamp set with some brand new DSP and a pretty embossing folder for texture. This stamp set was introduced in the 2014 Occasions catalog and I still love it as much today as I did then!RRCB30

It’s All in the Details

  • This card started with A2 dimensions of Whisper White thick cardstock. A layer of Hello Honey was cut and run through the Big Shot in the Lovely Lace TIEF and a small piece of Wildflower Fields DSP, new and FREE with a qualifying order, was layered after a small piece of Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon was glued down.
  • The flower image from Peaceful Petals was stamped in Black Stazon ink, then the fun started! With a blender pen, I started adding Hello Honey to each of the petals. I repeated the same steps with the leaves in Lost Lagoon ink. Once completed and dry, I fussy cut all of them out and glued into place.
  • The sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts was inked in Blackberry Bliss and cut with the Banner Triple punch. A layer of Lost Lagoon cardstock was cut and layered behind the sentiment.
  • The Finishing Touch was a Blackberry Bliss button, topped with a pearl, that was glued down on the focal flower.

We have a couple of rule changes – you need to state in your blog post the age of your stamp and you can link up to no more than 10 challenges. Pretty minor changes, really more like clarifications! Stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team inspiration over at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  We would love for you to join us before the challenge closes on Friday, January 29th.
