Masculine Sailing Home Card for Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge

Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge starts a new challenge today – “Anything Goes with Dies.” Since Stampin’ Up! is retiring the 2020 Annual Catalog and coming out with a new one in May, I was going through all of my stamps to organize them. When I came to Sailing Home, I realized how much I love this bundle and needed to get it inky. My family loves the ocean so this “all occasion” card will be perfect.

• Firstly, this A6 card started with Pool Party cardstock, cut at 6 1/2″ x 9″ and scored at 4 1/2.”
• After that, I cut the Whale Of A Time DSP and Whisper White cardstock to 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″. Then, I cut an oval out of the WW layer and dry embossed it with the Seabed embossing folder for a little texture.
• Pretty Peacock cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 6″ to layer it under the Whisper White cardstock and DSP.

Now, the FUN Part!

• Firstly, I stamped the lighthouse and sailboats in Pretty Peacock ink, then cropped out with their coordinating dies. In order to give the lighthouse a little more dimension, I cut out two more with scrap cardstock and glued them all together.
• After that, I stamped the sentiment and cropped it out with the retired 1 3/8″ circle punch and layered it onto the Pretty Peacock die in the Smoothly Sailing collection.
• Then, to anchor it to the card front, I also cut Pool Party cardstock with the rope die, taped it to the back of the sentiment and glued it to the card.
• Finally, a few rhinestones added a touch of bling that my husband won’t mind at all!
