Easter Friends All Occasion Card for the Sisterhood of Crafters

Easter Friends All Occasion Card by Secrets To Stamping

Hello, Friends! The Sisterhood of Crafters has a new challenge starting today – “Pets” and chosen by yours truly. If you don’t follow me, you might not know that I love animals! So, when I saw the new Easter Friends stamp set in the catalog, there was no way I wasn’t going to get it! This card came together very quickly and I love how it turned out.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Sisterhood of Crafters Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • Firstly, this A6 card measures 12″ x 4-1/2″ and scored at 6.”
  • After that, I took the Soft Sea Foam designer paper and textured it in two different embossing folders (just to get the texture I wanted). Then, I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink and adhered it to the card base.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • Once the card base was ready, I started on the adorable bunny, who was so easy with no coloring at all, just Crumb Cake ink.
  • Then, I lightly sponged Soft Sea Foam ink around him and added just a little bit of grass at his feet.
  • After that, I cut Mr. Bunny out with the Stitched Rectangle die. But, the panel was looking just a bit bland so I used the die from the Tulips dies to create a little interest in the upper right corner. Just enough, don’t you think? Once that was done, I layered it onto Crumb Cake cardstock, wrapped it a few times with some linen thread and tied it into a bow. Then, it was popped up with dimensionals.
  • Finally, I added a sweet sentiment and fussy cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals. Also, added a few brass butterflies for the all-too-necessary bling.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:

  1. Debbie, this is wunnermus! I love that you used two EF’s and added the little die cut in the upper corner. It’s a winner in my book!

  2. Your bunny is adorably cute Debbie! Love the soft look of your card which fits the bunny perfectly! We had bunnies as pets when growing up. I got my Dad a real one for Christmas one year and put him in a box and wrapped him under the tree, he couldn’t figure out why the box was moving LOL, he had that rabbit for years and years!

  3. Such a soft subtle look to this card, it’s so beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us at Stamping Sensations challenge.

  4. Just ADORABLE my friend! Growing up on a small farm, we always had animals of all sorts and I remember one Easter when my dad surprised us with a bunny for each one of us three girls. I actually got into trouble as he had them hidden waiting for Easter morning and I found them and told my sisters. Ooops lol. Thanks for choosing a fun theme … will be fun to see what everyone comes up with.

  5. I very much enjoyed it and loved the bunny card. Many of your creations are just wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
