It’s the Beauty of Friendship in Autumn for Make My Monday

Beauty of Friendship Card by Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

It’s time for a new theme at Make My Monday and I am the host, so I chose to do “Friendship.” So, I challenge you all to make a card for a friend. After you put it into our gallery, make sure you send it to them! For my card today, I decided to make a Z Fold card using the Beauty of Friendship bundle, pairing it with the beautiful Hues of Happiness designer paper.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Make My Monday Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

Beauty of Friendship Card by Secrets To Stamping

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • Firstly, this 6″ square card started with 12″ Daffodil Delight cardstock, cut to 12″ x 6″ and scored at 3,” and 6.”
  • After that, I cut Early Espresso cardstock at 5-1/2″ square and two panels of 2-1/2″ x 5-1/2.”
  • Then, I cut the designer paper to 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ (2) and a 5-1/4″ square.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • After that, I cut out two trees with Early Espresso cardstock and layered them to give them even more branches and dimension.
  • Then, I cut out the leaves with the Hues of Happiness paper twice and layered them on top of each other to give the tree multicolored leaves. (Sorry! I didn’t realize till now that SU retired the dies but not the stamp set!)
  • Since I like a little “life” on my scenic card, I die cut the two little birds and colored them Stampin’ Blends.
  • The small inside panel had to be nice too, so stamped the birdhouse onto white cardstock and colored it with stampin’ blends. Then, I fussy cut it out and glued it onto the stamped pole.
  • Finally, I stamped the friendship sentiment onto the inside panel in a position where it would be seen when the card was closed.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:

Thanks for Scrolling to the End!

Here’s my sweet Bella! Since she’s an indoor kitty, her favorite place is always where she can find a patch of sun! I’m sure she misses our Michigan house because we don’t get much sun in this house in Chicago like we did there.

  1. Oh, what a sweet girl! Bella is an appropriate name. As for your card, it is bella! Thank you for sharing your fun fold. I hope to join in the challenge cuz friendships are very important in life.

  2. Hi Debbie,
another fabulous make and such a lovely theme used for a friend.
Your Autumnal design looks excellent and that tree is gorgeous.
Great papers used and wonderful stamping.
Thank you for joining the MAWTT Challenge yet again.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT

  3. Beautiful Card! I especially like the fun fold that you incorporated! The dies from the Aspen Trees will work for the leaves.

  4. It’s a Beautiful Card. Do you have PDFs or YouTube Videos shoeing you making one? It’s really pretty 😍.

  5. Debbie. Your Fur Baby is precious. I had Cats all my life but just before my “Mocha” dies last Dec. I developed an allergy to cat dander, so that means no more kitties for me. But I still Love Them. Thanks for sharing Bellas Picture 📸.

  6. Thanks for entering our Trees/Leaves challenge… your card is lovely. Good Luck and hope you will join us again next month
