Sweet Love Cats Card for the MMM Challenge

Hi, Stampers!

We have a new challenge starting at Make My Monday – “Tag It” – so we want to see your pretty tags, whether it’s on a card or off. So, I made a cute card for my daughter who just adopted a sweet black cat named Duke; The Love Cats stamp set was just perfect for her.

My secrets!

• Firstly, this A2 card started with white cardstock that was 5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ and scored at 4-1/4.”
• After that, I cut Flirty Flamingo cardstock to 5-1/4″ x 4″ and cut the Hello Irresistible designer paper to layer on top.

And now, the fun part!

• Once the card base was done, I stamped the cat stamp in black ink and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes die and layered it onto black cardstock. Then, I cut out the tag from Celebrations Tag dies with Flirty Flamingo cardstock (I cut the back off).
• After that, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and cut it with Happy Labels Punch (I liked that it matched the scalloped edge of the tag). Then, I layered it onto black cardstock and popped it up with dimensionals.
• Finally, the ribbon was tied onto the tag, and added some Classic Matte Dots. Then, I decided to add the heart from the Dog Punch that was cut with Flirty Flamingo paper.

Then, on the inside…

• The inside was easily done by stamping the cat stamp with black ink onto white cardstock, and cut it with a deckled rectangle die. Then, I layered it onto black cardstock.
• Finally, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and cropped it out with the Stylish Shapes die, and layered it onto black cardstock. Then, I added more hearts for a little fun!
