Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!

Hi, Stampers! We have a great lineup of fun fold crafters on our hop today so I hope you enjoy the inspiration this month. This fun fold is such a great one for you to try since it has lots of dimension and is so easy to make! Plus, it folds totally flat for mailing (but check with your post office for extra postage). I have seen a few different tutorials for this card but the best one – or the one I didn’t mess up – came from Lisa Curcio here. I went back to one of my favorite Online Exclusives suites – Irresistible Blooms – then added a sentiment from Layering Leaves that has beautiful fonts.

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, l started with the card base:
- Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (cut 4) and score at 2-1/8″
- Designer Paper: 2″ x 5-3/8″ (cut 8)
- Then, the Bend – Designer Paper: 4-1/2″ x 5″ and scored at 1/2″ on both 4-1/2″ ends (cut 2)
- Pop-up piece: 1″ X 2-1/2″ and scored at 1/2″ on both 1″ ends. My card only needed one of these pieces because I didn’t cut a window for the back side. So, if you want the window on both sides, you will need two pieces of DSP.
Now, the FUN Part!
- After cutting, scoring, and adhering the card base pieces together, I took the Bend DSP and cut the window with a Deckled Rectangle.
- Then, I stamped the Layering Leaves sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink and cut it out with the same size Deckled Rectangle die.
- After that, I placed the Bend DSP piece where I wanted it and adhered it down with adhesive. (SECRET: Firstly, I recommend using a post-it note on one side to keep it in place while you are adhering the first side. Also, if you use a liquid adhesive, make sure it doesn’t ooze out because this could ruin the pop-up feature of this card!)
- Once the bend piece is in place, flatten it out and find the middle of the card for the Pop-up piece. Adhere it down, then add adhesive in the very middle of the Pop-up piece and lay the sentiment on top. This can be done with liquid glue so it can be moved around for the best placement – just “a little tab will do ya” though.
- Then, I just cut out the beautiful flowers from the Hello, Irresistible paper and popped them up with dimensionals along with a leaf. Finally, a few Iridescent Pearls for some sparkle.
Then, on the back…

- So, for the back of the card, I decided not to make the window just to show you how versatile this fun fold can be. To do that, I just added the designer paper the same way I did on the front of the card.
- Then, I stamped my favorite birthday sentiment from Cheerful Daisies in Lost Lagoon ink. After that, I cut it out with a Deckled Rectangle die and adhered it on top of the DSP.
- Lastly, another flower and leaves cut from the DSP were popped up with dimensionals and more pearls for more sparkle.
