Stampin’ Up! Humble Home with Tags to Go for the Fun Fold Blog Hop

Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!

Create this card using Humble Home by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets to Stamping

Hi, Stampers! Fun folds make every handmade card extra special, and today’s blog hop is FULL of great ideas! Whether you’re looking for a unique way to surprise someone or want to try something new, you’re in for a treat. I’ve teamed up with very creative SU demonstrators to bring you a lineup of creative, must-try designs.

Today’s project is the super-easy and seriously adorable 2-4-6-8 fun fold card. I needed a card for a friend who’s just moved, and the new Tags to Go bundle paired with the Humble Home stamp set and punch was just meant to be. I even dug into my stash for the retired “on your new home” sentiment from At Home with You that matched the “Congrats” die perfectly. Mixing old and new always brings something special to the table!

Check out how I pulled it all together below—and let me know in the comments if you’ve ever made this fold before. I’d love to see your take on it!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this fun fold card is made so quick and easy with the following:
    • Cardstock: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
    • Designer Paper: 12 x 5-1/4, and scored at 2, 4, 6, and 8. Once you burnish the score lines into the accordion fold, you glue the folds together to form the fun fold. EASY!

Now, the FUN Part!

  • Once that was done, I stamped the Humble Home house in Smoky Slate ink and the roof in Lost Lagoon ink. Then, they were punched out with the coordinating punch.
  • After that, I stamped the door and windows and carefully punched out the windows with the punch and fussy cut the door. The door, windows, and heart (which were punched out with the house) were all glued onto the house image.
  • Then, I dry embossed some Lost Lagoon cardstock with the Timber embossing folder to add some texture. The cardstock was cut with the “hotel key fob” die from the Tags to Go dies twice and glued together to give it some strength.
  • After that, I cut out two of each of the keys and glued them together.
  • I cut out two of the “congrats” with a (non-SU) die and glued them together and adhered them to the hotel key fob.
  • I stamped the “on your new home” sentiment from the retired At Home with You stamp set in Smoky Slate ink and cropped it out with the Tags to Go die.
  • The Spotlight on Nature circle die was used to cut white cardstock twice. I glued the elements to the circle, popping the hotel key fob up with dimensionals.
  • Once that was done, I put adhesive to the left side of the circle and added it to the card base.
  • I decided to add some DSP to the second circle die, so I used the B side of the DSP used for the fun fold, cutting it with the same die used with the white cardstock. I glued the white circle to the back of the DSP circle to give it strength and cover up the back side.
  • Then, the house was popped up with dimensionals to the DSP circle.
  • Finally, I added a layer for a personal message to the inside of the card, cutting white cardstock with the Textured Notes die.

Then, on the inside…
