THREE Paper Pumpkin February 2025 Alternative Cards to Inspire You!

Hi, Stampers!

The last couple of months have been a whirlwind—barely keeping my head above water. But life is finally settling down (YAY!), and I’m back at my craft table with the February 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit. This one was such a joy to play with! I know I’m a little late, but if you haven’t finished your kit—or if you love repurposing ideas across months—you’re in for some fresh inspiration. These card ideas could totally work on other kits too!

I’d love to hear what you made with your February kit and which one of my cards might inspire you with your Paper Pumpkin cards. Let me know in a comment below!

My Secrets!

Card #1

  • This was the first card I made with the kit, so I used mostly kit contents. The card was folded into my favorite Z fold style, so all I did was score the 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 cardstock at 2-1/8 and 5-1/4.
  • Then, I cut the kit’s card base to 2 x 5-3/8 (I cut two) and another one at 5-3/8 x 4-1/4. Once that was done, I adhered them to the card base.
  • After that, I cut Lost Lagoon cardstock with two of the Textured Notes dies for the front and inside of the card. Then, I adhered the Mint image to the front and white cardstock (3-3/4 x 2-3/8) to the inside for a personal message.
  • Finally, I added the images to the card, with a linen thread bow (included in the kit) and the Lost Lagoon Rainbow Dots to the front of the card.

Card #2

  • Next, I made another favorite fun fold card, an Easel card, using the same dimensions as the first one, and even scored exactly the same! See how easy it is to make a fun fold card? I used Crumb Cake cardstock, cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4.
  • Then, I made two panels for the front of the card, this time I cut them at 5-1/4 x 1-7/8.
  • I cut Very Vanilla cardstock at 4-1/2 x 2-3/8 to back the panel from the kit onto for more strength.
  • Inside: I cut the kit’s card base to 4 x 5-1/4 and another panel from the Textured Notes dies for a personal message.
  • Before adhering any of these together and onto the card base, I sponged all of the edges with Crumb Cake ink to give the card a vintage look. Only the bottom of the front panel was attached to the card base.
  • Then, I added the Chives image from the kit after sponging the edges with dimensionals onto the front of the card. I made sure that the dimensionals were only in the area where it would be attached to the panel.
  • I sponged two of the plant images and glued to the card base, then added Metallic Gems for a bit of sparkle.
  • Inside: I attached the panel for the personal message. Then, I stamped the pink banner with the dotted stamp (both from the kit) and popped it up with dimensionals so that the front of the card can be propped up.
  • I stamped the “to a wonderful friend” with Petunia Pop ink and cut it out with the Perennial Postage die that very closely mimicked the edge on the kit’s banner. Then, the edges were sponged and it was glued down to the banner piece. More of the Metallic Gems were added to the banner to finish off this card.

Card #3

  • Card #3 started with Old Olive cardstock, cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4.
  • Then, I made a panel with white cardstock, cut to 4 x 5-1/4.
  • I cut the Old Olive card base from the kit to make three panels measuring 3-7/8 x 1-5/8. Then, these were adhered to the card base.
  • Once that was done, I cut more white cardstock with the Textured Notes die then dry embossed it with the Fern embossing folder.
  • I stamped the Chives image with Old Olive ink and the Chives flower image with Highland Heather ink. Then, they were cut with the Add-on dies.
