Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!
Hi, Stampers! Fun folds make every handmade card extra special, and today’s blog hop is FULL of great ideas! Whether you’re looking for a unique way to surprise someone or just want to try something new, you’re in for a treat. I’ve teamed up with very creative SU demonstrators to bring you a lineup of fantastic must-try designs.

June always makes me think of “I do”… but I never have a card ready when the invite shows up! This month, I decided to get ahead of the game and create a wedding card that felt just right. The sweet lovebirds from the Feathered Fun stamp set were perfect—so perfect, I barely had to touch them! Just a little gold embossing and a flick of color on their wingtips, and they were ready to shine. I paired them with a gorgeous new-to-me fun fold and that dreamy, elegant Kintsugi Inspirations DSP. It’s got all the classy vibes I wanted, with just enough fun to still feel handmade.
I love how this card turned out and hope it gives you some inspiration if you’re prepping for a summer wedding too. Would love to hear what you think in the comments below!

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this card started with cardstock, cut to 5-1/2 x 11, and scored at 2-3/4, 5, 6, and 8-1/4. Then, I burnished the score lines as pictured.
- Front Panels: Cardstock Measurements: 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 (2), 2 x 5-1/4 (2), and 3/4 x 5-1/4 (1)
- DSP Measurements: 2-3/8 x 5-1/8 (2), 1-7/8 x 5-1/8 (2), 5/8 x 5-1/8 (1)
- Back Panels: Follow the same measurements as the front.
Now, the FUN Part!
- What is it about heat embossing that elevates the elegance of any card? I always love it but don’t do it enough.
- Once the card base was cut, panels made and adhered to the card base, I heat embossed the beautiful lovebirds with gold embossing powder and colored the feathers with Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends. After that, I cropped it out with the Everyday Arches dies (I hope you have some by now!). I layered it onto gold foil paper that was cut with the next larger size of the Everyday Arches.
- Then, I heat embossed the “congratulations” from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set and cropped it out with the pretty banner die in the Beautiful Butterflies die collection.
- After that, I cut two more arches from the Kintsugi Inspirations paper and layered them onto gold foil paper, as well. Then, I cut two each of the small branches from the Gallery Blooms dies in white cardstock, glued the two together to give them some dimension. They were popped up with dimensionals to finish the card front.
Then, on the back…

- This card folds up like a gatefold card (5-1/2 square), so I made more panels for the ends of the back side with more Kintsugi Inspirations paper, which would be the front of the card before it was opened up.
- Then, I decided to add more panels to the back for a personal message and another sentiment. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough of the same patterned paper but I still love how it turned out.

Who knew a party favor could turn into a whole weekend mood? We took Noah to a neighborhood birthday party last weekend (Spiderman theme, of course), and tucked inside the goodie bag was a little cape and mask. Cute, right? Well… Noah thought it was epic. He wore that thing the rest of the weekend—morning to bedtime, even wore it home like it was part of his DNA. It was the cutest thing ever, and I honestly didn’t expect him to love it that much! Just a little reminder that the magic doesn’t have to be big to be big—sometimes it’s a cape, a mask, and a whole lot of imagination.
Debbie, your fold is gorgeous! You are right…the DSP is classy and the gold embossing and gold mattes give an additional touch of elegance that is perfect for a wedding or anniversary card! TFS
