Hi, Stampers!

Are you ready for a new Let’s Craft and Create Challenge? We’ve got a fresh theme to spark your creativity: “Add Buttons” to your project! Remember buttons? I used to have hundreds — but most didn’t make the move from Grand Rapids to Chicago a few years ago. Only two packs survived the trip! So, I dug them out of my stash of embellishments and started crafting a card using the new Thankful Garden bundle. It’s a fantastic set, especially with its coordinating dies and stencils. We’ve got a brand new challenge to get your wheels turning, “Add Buttons” to your project. Remember buttons? Gosh, I had hundreds of them at one point but they “didn’t make the move” from Grand Rapids to Chicago a few years ago – except for only two packs. So, I dug them out of my stash of embellishments and started making a card from the new Thankful Garden bundle. This bundle is great for its coordinating dies and stencils.
So, what about you? Do you have any buttons to inspirate your creativity? I’d love to see what you make. Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this 5-1/2 square card started with cardstock, cut to 11 x 5-1/2 and scored at 5-1/2.
- After that, I cut the new Kintsugi Inspirations paper, to 5″ square and layered onto Calypso Coral, cut to 5-3/16 square.
And now, the fun part!
- Once that was done, I decided to try using the stencils on DSP, so I chose the beautiful Petal Pink patterned paper in the new Subtle paper pack. It’s a subtle difference that you might not be able to see in the photo but I do love the idea and will be doing it again in the future. I stamped the flower with Calypso Coral ink. Then, I used the stencils that add the shadowing for the flowers with Petal Pink ink.
- After that, I stamped the flower again in Garden Green ink and used the stencils to add the pretty details with Soft Sea Foam ink. Then, I cut out the both sets of flowers out with the coordinating die. Then, I fussy cut out the Calypso Coral flowers and popped them up with dimensionals onto the Soft Sea Foam flowers.
- I cut out the Petal Pink patterned paper from the Kintsugi Inspirations paper with the Spotlight on Nature circle die. Then, I found a circle die in my stash that matched the size of the first one and layered it underneath, a little offset for a fun look.
- The card still needed some detail so I cut out the leaves from the die set with more Subtle paper, using the same technique as the flowers, and colored them with Soft Sea Foam ink and a little Balmy Blue to add some color.
- Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Thankful Garden stamp set and cropped it out with the great Greetings of the Season die collection (love these!).
- Finally, to add some pretty details, I made a small double bow with the Organza Ribbon and the new Hoes of Blue Flowers embellishments to the flowers. And, to complete the challenge, I added sweet Needlepoint Nook Mini buttons to the right corner of card.

We finally got to have our sweet Noah overnight and it was wonderful! We fixed cornbread together (not easy when my coffee hasn’t kicked in yet). Then, he requested his Giddu’s specialty – “I want a fried egg over easy in the little red pan”! That kinda tells you all you need about this funny, adorable kid!
Pretty card. I have so many buttons and never use them. Is Noah standing on a stool or is he really that tall now? Yum…cornbread and fried egg. He is precious. Glad you were able to have him overnight.
Such a pretty card in soft pastel shades which is perfect for our Nature theme at We Love Stamping challenge, many thanks for joining us.

Debbie your card is so beautiful, lovely colour choice like a walk through nature alongside that stunning image. I can not imagine only owning two packs of buttons, I have so many new and old and many past down through the generations, I’m so glad you found yours to finish off your design.
