Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Pears for the Creative Crafters Challenge #90

Create this card using Perfectly Pears by Stampin' Up! DebbieMageed SecretstoStamping #PefectlyPearsStampinUp #FunFold #stampinup

Hi, Stampers!

Are you ready for the new Creative Crafters Challenge starts today? We want to see your pretty cards so the challenge is always Anything Goes! That’s my favorite kind! I have the new Perfectly Pears to show you today, but I only used the dies and coordinating papers for this card. And I paired it with a background die collection (sorry, but this isn’t SU) for a fun variation of the Stack and Cut technique. I love how this card turned out and it would be easy to do with other dies to cut the paper. This card will be sent to a good friend of mine who just lost her father. Since her father had a fruit orchard, I thought this card would be perfect for her.

Ready to get your creative juices flowing? Head over to the Creative Crafters gallery for a dose of inspiration, and if you’re feeling crafty, come play along with us!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this card started with white cardstock, cut to 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2.
  • The large die cut the outer edge (4-1/4 x 5-1/2) and the four openings. So, I cut out the “B” of the Painterly Pears designer paper with the die and glued it to the card base.

And now, the fun part!

  • So, the pretty part of this card was all done with the Painterly Pears paper! Once the card base was done, I used the smaller dies to cut the “A” side of the designer paper. After that, I popped up all of the pieces with foam adhesive sheets.
  • Then, I cut out the pears, stem and flowers from the same designer paper. I cut out each shape with white cardstock as well to give them some dimension and strength. They were added to the card base with glue and dimensionals (if they were added between the layers).
  • I stamped the sentiment from The Right Words in Mossy Meadow ink and cropped it out with the small die from Textured Notes.
  • Finally, I added linen thread bow and the Flat Pearls to the flowers to finish the card.

I hope to share my card with these challenges:

This lil’ guy, Noah, had fun riding his bike last weekend, and loved the idea of the new elbow and knee pads in case he fell. He’s covered in little bandaids from falls at his new house, so I thought these might be a good idea. How any of us survived our childhoods I will never know!

  3. Lol, this is why, as adults, we have a band-aid obsession and how we survived childhood. If only there were dinosaur bandaids then!!!!
