Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!
Hi, Stampers! Fun folds make every handmade card extra special, and today’s blog hop is FULL of great ideas! Whether you’re looking for a unique way to surprise someone or just want to try something new, you’re in for a treat. I’ve teamed up with very creative SU demonstrators to bring you a lineup of creative, must-try designs. Well, I was looking for some inspiration for the blog hop, and lo and behold, I found the coolest card, a Pyramid Block card that I have never seen before! Wowza, it was fun to make after watching the video tutorial that I will link below. My first one was OK for a trial run with totally uninspiring papers. Then, I made a second one with the pretty Floral Charm designer paper, and it was exactly what I pictured in my head. I hope you like it!

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base (measurements in inches)…
- As promised, here is the Paul Ford tutorial that I watched before making the card. He explains it very well, so I don’t think you will have any issues making one for yourself. The measurements I used to make the card are below.
- Card Base Cardstock: 5-5/8 x 11-1/4 and scored at 5-5/8. This card base is needed if you want to have a personal message on the inside of the card. I made this card base but ended up gluing it closed and just added my personal message on the back of the Pyramid. If you want to make yours like mine, just a piece of cardstock cut to 5-5/8 x 5-5/8 is sufficient.
- Main Piece: 8-1/2 x 5-5/8
- Score with 5-5/8 side across the top of your board at 1-7/8, rotate 180 degrees, score at 1-7/8
- Score with 8-1/2 across the top of your board at 1/2, 2-3/8, 4-1/4, 6-1/8, and 8.
- Then a partial score (shown in video) at 6-5/8, flip piece, score 6-5/8
- Front Cube: 1-7/8 x 6-5/8
- Score with 6-5/8 across the top of your board at 1/2, 2-3/8, 4-1/4, 6-1/8
- Back Panel for personal message: Cardstock cut to 5-3/8 x 5-3/8 and white cardstock cut to 5-1/8 x 5-1/8
Now, the FUN Part!
- I made my small panels with cardstock cut to 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 and DSP cut to 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 (I made 12), and then I cut 4 more from the cardstock without DSP for the bottoms of each block. Once that was done, they were glued to the card base.
- After that, I stamped the two sentiments and cropped them out. I layered the Happy Birthday onto cardstock to make it stand out a bit. Then, they were both glued to the card base.
- I cut out a couple of the leaf branches and glued them to the side of the Happy Birthday, then added some gems to the centers of a few of the flowers for some sparkle.
Then, on the inside (or the back, like mine)…

- The large panel was made by cutting cardstock to 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 and white cardstock to 5-3/8 x 5-3/8.
- I stamped the Charming Day flower with Mossy Meadow ink, then glued the two panels together and onto the card base.
- Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Day stamp set and cropped it out with the Stylish Shapes square die. Then, I layered it onto cardstock before gluing it to the card base.
