Stampin’ Up! More Than Autumn Card for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

Hi, Stampers!

The Pals are “Ready for Fall” and hope to inspire you with card and paper craft creations using Stampin’ Up! products. Links to the participant’s blogs can be found at the end of each post to help you “hop” along! Are you as ready for fall as I am? Wow, I don’t know how you feel about summer but we got a doozy this year! I am ready for fall and am already enjoying some cooler temps as it approaches. So, I loved mixing and matching the new products from the new holiday catalog with my older stash. I started with the More Than Autumn bundle, which is a fun seasonal stamp set that I hadn’t used much at all. Then, I paired it with the new Autumn Toile designer paper. They look great together, don’t you think?

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base (measurements in inches)…

  • Card Base: 12 x 5, and scored at 2 and 7 (final size is 5 x 5)
  • Front Panel: cardstock: 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 and dsp: 4-5/8 x 4-5/8
  • Front Side Panel: two-tone cardstock cut to 4-3/4 x 1-3/4, dry embossed with Leaf Fall embossing folder (sorry, this is retired) and sanded to expose the white core paper

And now, the fun part!

  • I stamped the More Than Autumn images in Early Espresso ink, then colored them with Stampin’ Blends markers (colors used below). Once that was done, I cropped them out with their coordinating dies.
  • After that, I cropped out the “Nothing’s Better Than” die twice, glued them together and glued them to the card base.
  • Then, I cropped out the “Pumpkin” and “Season” in the same two-tone cardstock.
  • I used the Spotlight on Nature circle die to cut out two Very Vanilla cardstock circles. I popped them up onto the card base and arranged the More Than Autumn images after gluing down the Pumpkin Season.
  • Finally, I added just a few Neutral Matte Dots for a little sparkle.

Then, on the inside…

  • Inside, I cut Early Espresso cardstock the same size as I did the front panel. Then, I cut the two-tone cardstock to 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 and Very Vanilla to 4-3/8 x 4-3/8. I stamped the More Than Autumn sentiments and I colored the pumpkins with Stampin’ Blends.
