Everybody loves to be the first to hear Big News! And I have some for you so get ready! I am submitting to two new challenges!! Isn’t that great?! This card was made with two challenge blogs in mind: Just Add Ink and Freshly Made Sketches.
I am resuming my quest to using all of my stamp sets, which is quite a challenge! Today I decided to get out Big News. This stamp set is great for Clean and Simple (CAS) cards so I wanted to give it a try. I paired it with I Like You and Choose Happiness, and, even though I have used both of those before, I made sure that I used stamps that I hadn’t used already. This challenge is getting rather fun!
First, I stamped the sentiments with VersaMark and then inked them with color and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped the flowers and colored them with my Blendie pens – nothing fancy but I still love these pens! After cutting out the sentiment with the Oval Collections framelits, I cut the Bermuda Bay frame and ran it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing Folder. Once I laid down the ribbon, it was time to assemble the card and add the candy dots. It really didn’t take much time to put this card together, with the most time just fussy cutting the flowers. If you wanted, you could use flowers that had a coordinating punch and save a little time.

Debbie love the colors you used that set off this sentiment perfectly. I will be casing this card! Thanks for the inspiration.
This is a beautiful card. You did a great job fussy cutting the flowers. I love the sentiments and you have inspired me to use some of my never-used stamps. It’s always easy to go back to ones I’ve used. I’ll see how that goes.
A very lovely combination of challenges! Just love the colors together. Would you believe I don’t have Big News!! I also totally forgot about I Like You!! Woohoo for your quest that aids and abets… 🙂
You are awesome! This is lovely! And I have many sets that need attention – I should join your quest!
I didn’t really like this stamp set, but you are changing my mind. Another wish list item. 🙂
A lovely card Debbie and you have combined both challenges beautifully. The sentiment fits perfectly in the oval framelit – good thinkin’! 😉
Thanks for sharing and playing along to Just Add Ink this week. Louise xo

Beautiful card Debbie! I love the colour combination and that sentiment! Super fun! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
I love the fussy-cut flowers, and the way you’ve anchored one of the sentiments with narrow ribbon. Beautiful card, Debbie. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week!
I really like the sentiments you have used. Words that mean alot. I like how you have used the sketch for this card. Chantell JAI
