Something to Say has some really sweet sentiments! I was asked to CASE (“copy and share everything”) a card for the Boot Camp that I joined. The card had to be found in Stampin’ Success, the bimonthly magazine that demonstrators receive from Stampin’ Up! that is full of great ideas from cover to cover! I always look forward to receiving it and consider it one of the really great perks of being a demonstrator, regardless of whether you join Stampin Up! to be a hobby or business stamper or anything in between.
I am not good at CASEing cards, so this assignment was not an easy one for me. This card is not an exact CASE and I really wish you could see the original (if you are a demo, see page 16 in the May/June 2014 issue). But it was my inspiration, so I hope that is good enough for my captain!
After choosing a card to CASE (definitely the only hard part of this project), I went with the new Moonlight DSP stack. I absolutely love the colors in this DSP! I simply punched out three hearts then traced one and punched it out of the Whisper White layer. I love the new Sweetheart Punch and did you know that it’s on sale till Tuesday as one of the items in the Weekly Deals? You can see it and the other great items below in the Current Promotions. On Film Framelits has a very cool arrow so I cut that out in Hello Honey after stamping the “Love you” (masking the “always” because it wouldn’t fit). The Arrow and the Hello Honey heart are both popped up with dimensionals. I added a couple of rhinestones (who doesn’t love a little bling?) and linen thread with a Basic Metal Button. This card is definitely “clean and simple” and so fun to make!

After checking the correct issue of SS magazine (LOL), I can report that this card is very close in the desired elements for a CASE…. Your captain should be pleased! I do love using a punch so that the underneath CS or DSP is revealed. I would definitely call this CAL (clean and layered) which is probably as close to CAS as you can get, Debbie… 🙂
Sweet card….
I just ordered this stamp set, thanks for the great idea, love this card & can hardly wait to case it!
Another pretty card, Debbie. I like how you have used the DSP and brought all the colors together. The linen thread and button add a lot of texture as well.
Very nice card! Love the colors and the little details. You are so good at those “little details”!
Love your card! Came out really cute.
