RRBC05It’s time to get out that crimper that has been sitting in your craft room for so long without seeing the light of day (or night if you are a late night crafter like me). Don’t have one? You can still play along! Just score your paper for some texture. I got out my all-time favorite stamp set for this challenge, Simply Sketched. I will never EVER give this stamp set away! I love it that much!

I don’t have the crimper that makes the folds in straight lines, mine does it in a wavy pattern and I really love the effect that it gives. I have a confession – I bought this crimper years and years ago and had NEVER used it. I didn’t know if I would like it but I really love the effect it gives. I crimped retired Core’dinations paper in Soft Sky, sanded then sponged to give some subtle shading.

This card is a blend of old and new! I used the brand new  1/4″ Jute Ribbon from the 2015 Occasions Catalog, and the roses are in the fantastic Artisan Embellishment Kit in that catalog. I really love the romantic effect of these two together, don’t you? The stamped images were stamped onto Soft Sky and colored with new Blendies colors also. Love them! They are absolutely perfect for this time of year.

  2. Debbie there is not an element of your card that I don’t love. Your card is simply gorgeous! I think it’s wonderful how you overlayed the Jute ribbon onto of the wavy Core’dinations paper (oh how I wish that hadn’t retired!). Gorgeous card all around!

  5. Oh my!!! This is just stunning, Debbie!! Everything about it is so softly perfect! I am so very much loving getting to see everyone pull out old favorite stamps because I think if we’ve hung onto it, our love comes thru in our creations even more…it really does let the beauty of God’s handiwork shine thru here!

  7. Great colors, beautiful coloring. Love the roses!! BTW ~ I’ve been moving my crimper around for years too (takes up sooo much room!!) but I won’t ever get rid of it either. It can do amazing things, given the chance 🙂
