It’s time for another Retro Rubber challenge! I know you are going to love this one! Embossing is one of the techniques that really attracted me to making cards. When I found embossing powders in different colors, I was hooked! There was a time (probably before I learned to use blender and aqua pens, etc.) that I used it on everything! lol
This card started out choosing Peaceful Petals stamp set. The stamps in this set are so pretty so I sure wish it had stayed around longer! It definitely will be sticking around in my craft room for a long time! After coloring that beautiful bloom, I went in search for something to go with it and found the hummingbird in Bloomin’ Marvelous. The rest of the card was lots of fun and everything except the background stamp from Hardwood was embossed! I love stamping onto VersaMark then my chosen ink color and covering it in Clear Emboss Powder for lots of shine. Plus I don’t need to worry about random emboss powder on my images. And if you do see any flecks, it is from my newest favorite cardstock, Natural White. I love the way it stamps up and is thicker than Whisper White and Very Vanilla. So, now it’s YOUR turn! Grab your heating gun and get back to doing magic with your embossing powder!

Gorgeous! That Dahlia and the wooden background go so well together! Thanks for the GDT spot!
Very pretty card. I love the yellow on the flower.it makes me think of My Mom and of summer.
Beautiful card, Thanks for the inspiration.
Lovely spring time card. The little humming bird is a wonderful touch!
Debbie…beautiful card. I love the way you ‘build’ your cards. You are very talented that way. Gives me a new way of doing my cards.
Debbie, I remember using clear emboss on some of my first cards way back when you had to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig to lay the VersaMark over the initial ink. It is so much easier now with our foam ink pads and I still forget to do so… I love the way it provides texture and shine. Love this card and cannot wait to see our hummingbirds back in the garden. Off to pin….
This card is bloomin’ marvelous!! SO SO beautiful. I want to touch that card!
Loved your card–is so pretty!!!
