Cheerful Critters Celebrate Today

Cheerful Critters, Celebrate Today

Hello Stampers! I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful holiday (if you are celebrating). We had such a great challenge last week! You all were so creative with the tic-tac-toe challenge! This week, the wonderfully talented Jaydee has a super fun challenge: die-cuts! There is no way that I can even make a card without my Big Shot anymore. I decided that I needed to use the mini-treat bag thinlits since it is such a great new tool with lots of really fun accessories!! I also received Cheerful Critters as a gift for attending the Leadership convention from Mary Fish. (One of the many perks being in the Stampin’ Pretty Pals!) This stamp set is so adorable and I just felt that it would be the perfect stamp to go with the treat bag. The DSP is Irresistibly Yours, which I daubered (very technical term!) with Crumb Cake, then cut a window with the Window Frames framelits.  The leaves are from the Bouquet Bigz L Die and topped with flowers that were punched out with the Petite Petal Punch and was separated with the bone folder. Now, I want to show you what the inside tag looks like:

  1. This is a very creative use of the tag inside the bag. So cute. I got the Irresistibly Yours paper and now you’ve given me more inspiration to use it. I love that this idea could be used for different occasions.

  2. What a fun card Debbie – I love how you combined the treat bag into your card design! I love your chosen colour combination too, although I can see that this card would look great in so many different colourways. This card has such a fun, party feel!

  3. Debbie, I always enjoy the details of your cards! How fun to turn the treat bag into a card front, with the added treat of the pull out tag!! Fun!! The washi tape on your banners is perfect!!

  4. This card is absolutely ADORABLE! When I saw the second picture, my first thought was “now that is an unusual fold”, the I realized it was the tag pulled away from the card front. I have been wanting to use either the SU bags or the framelit to incorporate that idea in some cards and you have given me the inspiration to try it. Lots of wonderful details. Now I cannot remember if I had pinned this so will have to do so again (only you will understand this comment, LOL)

  5. Debbie, you put so much work into this card and it shows! Love the tag-in-a-bag, the fun banners and your cute critter. Oh, and of course all your die cuts!

  6. Oh my goodness–you really gave your Big Shot on workout on this one! What a cool idea to use the treat bag as a card front and I love how the critter peeks through the window from the tag. Adorable!

  7. Debbie, I haven’t used this treat bag die yet… you have inspired me to get it out. I love the colors, the critter sitting in the oval, the banners and the pullout. You rocked this challenge and I love this card!
    hugs
