Autumn Accents is so Wonderfall

rrbc22Hello, Stampers! Does anyone else feel like it’s been a very fast August this year? WOW! We are on the home stretch to college this weekend. It’s already starting to hit me. I am so glad that I have you all as a wonderful stamping community to keep me company though. I have been raising kids for 36 years – my entire adult life really. I don’t really know what I will do with myself, but my stamping should be good therapy — right?! I haven’t done much lately, that’s for sure. But last week we had some unseasonably cool weather and it really made me think about Fall coming. Then, I remembered about the Big Shot Bigz die, Autumn Accents and its coordinating stamp set, Wonderfall. I thought it would be a great bundle to use with my side step card. You can use what I did OR you might also use the new bundle from the new Holiday Catalog (and you know you can order from it today, right?!).

Autumn Accents, Wonderfall, Side Step Card

I meshed old product with current product and you might notice some non-SU items as well (oops!). New stuff includes the In Color Envelope Paper that is such a great weight for layering, and the Into the Wood Elements. I love Mossy Meadow with Tip Top Taupe! Leaves were made using those two colors (the trick to using a Bigz die is to cut THEN stamp) plus Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. This card went together quite nicely with just a little embellishing and it was ready for the season in no time!

I hope you’ll stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team inspiration over at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog. Please get your much loved older stamps out and play along! We would love for you to join us before the challenge closes on Friday, September 11th.

  1. What a gorgeous tribute to fall in this side-step card! Love the burnished leaf tips, and the little swirly thing at the bottom…what IS that???

  2. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing the technique, and the fact that you struggled a bit with the project. It reminds us all that if we don’t like the result of our first attempt, that it’s OK and we can still find a way to make it work.

  3. Love this Debbie, you have made it look so easy. I love the fall elements and overall feel. I am sure that crafting will keep you busy, now that you have an empty nest. You will be happy to know that I will be in the US for the WHOLE of October – Sept not so much LOL. Cx

  4. I am so glad to see Wonderfall and Autumn Accents being loved again! The side step card is so well balanced! Love the details on the right with all the leaves, colors and textures. The sentiment sums up the whole feeling of Fall…. let’s give Thanks! Sweet current holiday extras are in abundance. Anyone could CASE this with Lighthearted Leaves or Vintage Leaves and be current as far as products go. Off to pin….

  5. Lovely side step card with just the right colors for the season. So pretty! The sentiment is perfect for your stage in life, Giving thanks that your children are off to college and moving on in their journey of life. That is being a great parent!

  6. LOVE this card! Like Katy, you have all these folds which causes a great deal of heartache for me – I am truly good for 1 fold! This is so beautiful with all the colors and textures! A perfect fall card! School is off to a good start! I hope you aren’t suffering from empty nest too much!
