Merry Mice
The time has come to finally break out those Christmas stamps and I have been having such a great time making some to show you!! It was difficult picking out which one to do first but two challenges made the decision pretty easy for me. I tried to resist purchasing Merry Mice but when it went on sale at the beginning of November, I knew I had to get it. There is just something about those sweet mousy faces, it really was only a matter of time before they were on my order.
This card was lots of fun to make, using Softly Falling TIEF on Very Vanilla cardstock. Next, a 3 1/2″ x 4″ piece of DSP from This Christmas Specialty DSP was cut, and then layered on Basic Black cardstock. The little mouse stamp was inked up in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with some old watercolor pencils then blended with my blender pen. I am no expert with pencils but I still think it turned out pretty cute. The image was cut out with the new Stitched Oval Framelits. Before adhering down, Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the DSP layer. The adorable red jingle bell and metal holly embellishments were threaded onto the ends then tied together. The sentiment was added at the end, and the mouse image was adhered with dimensionals.

The Merry Monday Christmas Challenge – Masculine Challenge was also too much fun to pass up. I don’t make Christmas cards all year long but love to play along this time of year. I really see this mouse as being quite masculine, don’t you think?
