Sunny Sentiments Birthday Card for Make My Monday

Make My Monday has a new theme starting today – “Floral Birthday” – what a perfect theme! When making a card, I choose birthday themes the most because who doesn’t love getting a handmade card for their birthday? Therefore, my biggest decision was just figuring out what to use. However, I just opened up my new order from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, so I quickly chose the new Sunny Sentiments stamp set and paired it with Jar of Flowers, which hasn’t been inked up nearly enough.

• Firstly, this card started with thick White cardstock, cut to 9″ x 6 1/4″ and scored at 4 1/2.”
• After that, I cut the In Good Taste designer paper to 5 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ and layered it onto Pale Papaya cardstock.

Now, the FUN Part!

• Then, I began stamping and coloring the floral image from Jar of Flowers, which is such a pretty image and looks great all by itself. After that, I cropped it out with the Stitched circle die. Later, I decided to stamp it again and color just one of the flowers, then fussy cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals.
• Secondly, I stamped the Sunny Sentiments sentiment in Early Espresso ink and cropped it out with the Stitched Rectangle die.
• After that, I made a simple bow out of the Pale Papaya ribbon, then punched out some of the leaves with the brand new Symmetrical Stems Border Punch.
• Finally, I cropped out the butterfly dies, and added the embellishments for the all-important bling.
