Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge starts their last one for the month – Anything Goes with Dies! Are you as addicted to dies as I am? If you are, then this is the perfect challenge to enter. Since it’s November, my thoughts go to Thanksgiving so it was time to bring out the Love of Leaves stamps with coordinating dies. But, my favorite part of the card is the background made with the Stitched Greenery die that has been sponged all over.
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along before the deadline of November 30th!
My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project
- This A6 size card started with Bumblebee cardstock, cut at 12″ x 4-1/2″ and scored at 6.”
- To make the background, I cut more Bumblebee cardstock, dry embossed it with the Stitched Greenery cover die, then decided to start add Cajun Craze with a blending brush, with a little Gold Metallic ink for good measure.
Now, the FUN Part!
- For the focal point, I cut the large leaf, sponged it with gold ink. After that, I cut two smaller leaves with the Gold Shimmer Vellum, and a small sprig from Early Espresso cardstock with the Sprig punch. Lastly, I tied a little bow with white baker’s twine. Once I layered them all together, I placed them onto a large white oval that was embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folder. Before adhering to the card base with dimensionals, I cut a couple pieces of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim to layer underneath.
- Finally, I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso and cut it out with the Classic Label punch. Then, I placed a few Brushed Metallic Dots around the focal point.
I’m sharing my card with these challenges:
- Creative Knockouts Challenge – lots of layers
- Cut It Up Challenge – thanks or thanksgiving

When I first saw your card, I thought the leaf embossed layer was leather. Then on closer inspection, I saw the embossing. The gold shimmer vellum is a wonderful touch. I love all the elements you include to make this beautiful fall card. Enjoy your day, Debbie.
