Artistically Inked Birthday Card for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Fabulous Flowers. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal. Since Stampin’ Up! makes fabulous flower stamp sets, this blog hop is my most favorite themes of the year! My only problem is choosing which one to showcase LOL. Ultimately, I decided to show you a card with Artistically Inked stamp set and coordinating dies since it will be carried over to the next catalog and has such beautiful images.

Artistically Inked Birthday Card by Secrets To Stamping

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • Firstly, this card started with white 12″ cardstock, cut to 4-1/2″ x 12″ and scored at 6″ on the 12″ side to make an A6 card.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • After that, I decided to make a stencil from the large Artistic die, so I cut it out with a square piece of vellum. Then, I cleared out of the little cutouts and placed it back into the vellum square. To keep it down onto the quarter sheet of white cardstock, I sprayed the Vellum with Pixie Spray, which is a light tack, repositionable adhesive for stencils.
  • Once I placed the cardstock onto the stencil (easier than the other way around), I started lightly sponging the ink onto the paper.
  • Then, when that was completed, I cut out another flower die with Evening Evergreen and set it off from the stencilled image just a tad to give it some color variety.
  • After that, I stamped the small flower and a few leaves, cut them out and popped them up over the large image.
  • Next, I stamped the sentiment onto a 3/4″ stip of white cardstock and cut it with the Treasured Tags Punch. Then, I cut a 3/4″ strip of Soft Succulent cardstock and cut it with the other edge of the punch for a little interest.
  • Finally, I wrapped the bakers twine about the panel and tied a bow. Also, I added a few Polished Dots for the touch of bling every card needs.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on May 11th. Our theme will be New 2022-2024 In Colors, with the Pals showcasing the brand new In Colors in the new Annual Catalog.

Until then, have fun in your craft space!

  1. I really like the contrast between the Evening Evergreen and the softer sponged colors. So pretty!

  2. Wow! The stenciled flowers are wonderful. But the overlay gives so much definition and not something I would have thought of. This is a really great card. Thank you for the technique idea!

  3. Such a pretty card to show off this detailed die. I love what you did with the single, popped up flower as well. Lovely!

  4. Love seeing your Fabulous stamp on Flowers Pal! Thanks for all you do to make our hop happen!

  5. Such a beautiful card, Debbie! I love the colors and the combination of die cuts and stamped flowers! 🙂

  6. So, so pretty! I am now visiting Amazon to order some Pixie spray! Love your card and how you offset the cardstock outline just a bit.
