Hi, Stampers!
It’s time for a new challenge at Make My Monday, so we now want to see your “Back to School” projects. Although this theme would be perfect for young kids, my kids are all grown now and my grandson is way too young to be creating that type of card yet. So, I decided to make one for my daughter starting her last year of medical school but think this card would be great for high school or college – or any new stage in life. Once I made that decision, it was a no-brainer to use the Stronger Together stamp set for the image. Then, I pulled out the Let’s Set Sail for some great sentiments to go with it.
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Make My Monday Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project
- Firstly, this Stronger Together card is 5-1/2″ square, with Smoky Slate cardstock cut at 5-1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2.”
- After that, I cut the Silver & Gold Specialty Paper down to 5-1/8″ square and layered it onto Silver Foil paper.
- Then, I took the dotted silver paper and cut it to make a banner.
Now, the FUN Part!
- Once that was done, I stamped and colored the image with Stampin’ Blends. Then, I fussy cut it out and layered it onto the Scalloped Contours rectangle die that was dry embossed with the Scripty embossing folder. Before popping it up over the background layers, I wrapped white bakers twine and secured to the back.
- Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Let’s Set Sail and cropped it out with the smallest die from Let’s Set Sail.
- INSIDE: I made another panel of silver foil and covered it with white cardstock. Then, I stamped the sentiment from Let’s Set Sail and the hearts.

Wow, what a great interpretation of the Back to School theme. I love the idea of celebrating and encouraging students at any stage of their education.
Debbie, I have liked your cards and creativity for a while now and love to save them for inspiration. The idea of “stronger together” is one I can get behind. Stay well, safe, and be kind to yourself.
I’m so glad you decided to make this for your daughter. Encouraging our children – no matter what age – is a blessing to them! I know she treasures the cards you make for her. Thank you for sharing on Polkadoodles. Pam, DT
