Hi, Stampers!
I am so happy to be back on the Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge Design Team! Firstly, thanks to the rest of the team for being so patient with me while I was doing my crazy move to Chicago, and, rest assured, I don’t plan on doing that again for a LOOOOOONG time! Now, onto my project – my card for you all today started with me trying to use the Texture Chic Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, which just so happens to be on sale starting today (see the Weekly Deals below)! Although I do love the card front on these cards, I like layering my cards more! So, I pulled out my new Apple Harvest bundle to use with them and came up with a plan that uses two of the card bases. If you want to hear how I made it, just keep reading!
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!
My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project
- Firstly, for the card base, all I did was fold the card so that the patterned side of the card would be on the inside. Easy!
- After that, I took the second card base and trimmed the front down so that the patterned side of the card measured 5-7/8″ x 4″ and adhered to the card front.
Now, the FUN Part!
- After the card base was done, I stamped and colored the pretty image from the Apple Harvest stamp set.
- Then, I cut and colored the flowers and leaves with parts of the remaining card pieces, and layered them together.
- More scraps were used to make the panel behind the focal image, cutting it with the Deckled Rectangle die. Then, I layered it onto Petal Pink cardstock. Before popping the focal image on top, I stamped the fun criss cross image around the corners of the panel.
- After that, I stamped the sentiment to the card front.
- Finally, I added the flowers to the card front and added the Classic Matte Dots to the flowers and around the focal point.
- INSIDE: I cut a large panel from the Deckled Rectangle die and stamped the flowers along the bottom before adhering it to the inside of the card.

Debbie, I love the delicate flowers and subtle colors of your creation. Welcome back to HLS. I’m sure they are thrilled to have you return. Bella is just that! She’s lucky she can go outside. My Chester is a rescue cat and he can’t go outside because whoever had him before, removed ALL his claws. I think that’s illegal but I’m glad I have him and can protect him as all three of my porches are enclosed so he sort of gets to go outside 🙂 Have a blessed Friday.
This is a gorgeous card, Debbie. I love the Textured Chic cards and how you used them. Glad you are getting settled in Chicago, and Bella is getting comfortable with her new home. Enjoy your day!
Love brave Bella … and your gorgeous card. So many beautiful details and using these colors for your apples and blossoms was inspired.
I agree with Diane L. —using these colors for the apples and blossoms was inspired. You’ve made a beautiful card.
Hello Bella!!!!!
Your card is absolutely beautiful. Makes me wish I did not try to be restrained in my purchases from SU this month, when I said no to this bundle. I literally ordered 20 minutes before I saw your card. So subtle and breathtaking in all ways
So pretty, Debbie – I was just coloring this image yesterday, and I love your soft colors WAY better, lol. Those die-cut details are so gorgeous, too! Thanks so much for playing at SU Only!
