I’m So Fond of Autumn with a Layered Card for HLS Die Challenge

Fond of Autumn Card by Secrets to Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge starts the new challenge today for the month of October and, as always, it’s anything goes with dies. So, if you are as addicted to your dies as I am, you have all month to play in your craft room for our challenge. Recently, I made a card using the Fond of Autumn stamp set and coordinating dies and after I was finished, I knew I had to play with it more. This time I stamped and colored the image twice, then cut them with another one of the coordinating dies that separated the flowers and leaves perfectly. I just love the layering and versatility that this gave my card!

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My secrets to making this project

  • Firstly, this A6 card measures 6″ x 9″ and was scored at 4-1/2.”
  • After that, I made a background panel with white cardstock that I cut with the Split Card Textures die. Then, I cut the Texture Chic designer paper to the same size and glued them together.
  • Then, I cut the Distress Gold Specialty Paper and layered the panel on top.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • So, after stamping the image twice onto white cardstock, I got out my favorite Stampin’ Blends (colors are below) and started coloring. Once I was finished, I cut them out with the die and started layering them onto the card base along the angled line that was made from the Split Card Textures die.
  • After that, I stamped the sentiment from Snowman Magic and made it into a banner with the Banner Pick a Punch.
  • Finally, I added the Glossy Dots to the centers of the flowers.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:

Thanks for Scrolling to the End!

I know that I already shared the silly one but not my favorite I took that day. I have been sick so we haven’t seen Noah for a while. Can’t wait to see him soon!
