Hi, Stampers!
A new Make My Monday challenge is starting today and the theme is “Frame It” so all you have to do is make a card that has a frame on it; Fun challenge, right?! Firstly, I like to make sure that I use the supplies that I have and I hadn’t used a few of these before, such as the Dry Brushed Metallic Paper. So, I paired it with the (retiring) Enchanting Details floral die to see what I could make with them. Then, I finished it off with a sentiment from Celebrating You stamp set, which is retiring at the end of the month.
Oh, and please bear with me while I figure out how to take decent photos in my new craft room! There’s NO natural light in this basement, so if you have any suggestions, please tell me in a comment!
Once you finish here, I hope you visit the Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My secrets!
- Firstly, this A2 card started with Soft Succulent cardstock that was cut at 4-14″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2.”
- After that, I cut the Dry Brushed Metallic paper to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered it to the card base.
And now, the fun part!
- So, the fun part of this card was creating the frame and I did that, using the Stitched Rectangle dies and cutting Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Then, I cut the Enchanting Details flower in white cardstock and glued it to behind the frame, and cut off the one area that was too wide for the frame.
- After that, I stamped the sentiment in Soft Succulent ink and cropped it out with the small oval from the Double Oval Punch. Then, I cut three of the scalloped ovals, one in Crumb Cake and two in white so I could layer it a bit for a little pop of color.
- Finally, I added the Festive Pearls to the flower centers and a few Brushed Brass Butterflies as well as a double white twine bow.

A fabulous background paper, love how you used one of the colours on the frame enclosing the beautiful diecut.A great pic of Noah, looks like a gorgeous day.
Beautiful card Debbie. Love how you framed the pretty white diecut. It looks so pretty against the lovely background paper.
Debbie, this is a stunning card. I love all the elements you used. It’s a great take on the challenge. You find the most wonderful places for Noah to enjoy. Enjoy your day!
Beautiful card! And although photographing cards with random (not!) sequins, lace, etc surrounding them makes them more visually appealing, cards are opened without that stuff surrounding them. I’m glad to simply see the lovely cards that you make. (But do not let me dissuade you from your quest!) Enjoy your new space and keep making pretty things for us to see!
Such a beautiful card. I love the metallic background.
Gorgeous framed card, all the elements pair so well together. Sweet picture of Noah and grandpa!
Gorgeous design. That wonderful background creates a beautiful contrast with the rest of the layers of the card. The colour combo is great, I love it. Thanks for joining us at A Place To Start. Hugs, María.
I struggle with getting good pictures, too! I should probably look up some tips for staging cards so I can make them more appealing, but yours looks great here! I wouldn’t have guessed you had any lighting issues.
It’s brilliant to add a frame around that floral corner die! Such a pretty card layout!
Glad you had some nice spring weather to take Noah to the park. We’re going to be in the 60s here and even low 70s forecast for later this week! Hooray for spring temps!
This is a beautiful work of card art, Debbie! Your pretty designs are always meticulous! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
Debbie, this is beautiful in every way, the colours are perfect together!
