Hi, Stampers!
A new Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge is starting today, and the theme is always Anything Goes with Dies. I have gotten several new bundles lately so I decided to play with the new Crafting With You bundle. I wanted to do something a little different with the art easel so I looked through my paper stash, ultimately choosing one of my favorites of all the designer papers in my stash, On The Horizon. Why keep them if you don’t ever use them, I always say! I also used the Lazy Days bundle to round out the scene. I have to say, I just love how this card turned out!
Once you finish here, I hope you visit the Happy Little Stampers Die Design Team gallery (goes live today at 3:00 CDT) for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this A6 card started with some retired white textured 12″ cardstock, which was accidentally in the wrong spot. However, I decided to use it since the texture rather looks like canvas, so I thought it would work for this card. I cut it down to 4-1/2″ x 12″ and scored it at 6″.
- Then, I cut the On The Horizon paper to 4-1/2″ x 5″ and glued it down so that the upper edge was along the top score line.
And now, the fun part!
- Easel: Then, I stamped the easel stamp twice, once on white cardstock and again on a second piece of the On The Horizon paper. After that, I cropped them both out with the coordinating die and trimmed the one on the designer paper down so that it would fit into the easel. Then, I decided to cut out another easel and glue both of them together to give it more dimension.
- After that, I cut two pieces of white cardstock with the banister die. I glued them end-to-end with the bottom edge lined up with the end of the designer paper, then I glued the easel over it making sure that the leg of the easel covered up the seam of the two banisters.
- Once that was done, I stamped the plant using daubers for the two inks (Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow. Then, I colored it with Stampin’ Blends (Wild Wheat and Old Olive) and cut it out with the coordinating die.
- I decided that it needed a bit of life so I stamped the bird with Early Espresso ink and colored it with Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wheat, and Old olive Stampin’ Blends.
- Lastly, I stamped the sentiment with Mossy Meadow ink and cropped it out with the small banner die in the Sending Die collection. (I cut a second banner to layer under the sentiment to also give it a little substance.)
