Hi, Stampers!
A new Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge starts today, and the theme is always Anything Goes with Dies. This month I had a great time making a couple of cards using the wonderful stack and shuffle technique with the new Tartan Foil papers and the Sending Cheer bundle. I can’t believe I haven’t used it yet – this bundle is so versatile and so is the the stack and shuffle technique!
Once you finish here, I hope you visit the HLS Die Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!
My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, this A2 card started with cardstock, cut at 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2.
- After that, I cut white cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4.
- Then, I cut three pieces of the Tartan Foil paper to 3-3/4 x 5, and cut on the 3-3/4 side at 1-1/2 and on the 5 side at 2-1/2. FYI these cuts are totally changeable to whatever you want!
- Once that was done, I mixed and matched the DSP to what I thought would look nice together – don’t forget that there are patterns on both sides!
And now, the fun part!
- Then, the fun began with stamping the present with Copper Clay and the ribbon with Lost Lagoon, and cropped it out with the coordinating die.
- After that, I cropped out the stocking and the holly leaves.
- Then, I cut out the tag (but cut off the top circly thing) and stamped “Sending Cheer” at the bottom.
- Once that was done, I stamped “open me,” cut it out with the little circle tag and tied it to the present with baker’s twine.
- Finally, I added Faceted Gems and Solid Gems for a little sparkle.
Then, for my second card…

- The bard base was made exactly the same as the first one, but this card is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4.
- The fun part of this card was inking up the adorable gingerbread man with Copper Clay ink (second generation stamping to keep them on the lighter side). Then, they were both cut out with the coordinating die.
- The gingerbread men needed some sparkle so I added eyes and clear heart epoxy droplets on the buttons. Then, I cut out two hearts for them to hold.
- After that, I stamped the Happy Holidays from Throughout The Year and made it into a banner with the Banner Triple Punch (retired).
- Once that was done, I popped the sentiment up with dimensionals and added the gingerbread men to the card as well.
- Finally, I stamped For You and cropped it out with another tag from the Sending Cheer dies and added a bakers twine bow.

I love these cards and the non-traditional colors you used. I will case them! Thank you!
Great Christmas cards with such fun little details on the die cuts!
I think Legos are fun at any age! And trains and other vehicles make such wonderful toys! I got a set of Melissa & Doug wooden vehicles for Sawyer this Christmas that I know he’s going to love!
Both cards are absolutley wonderful, love the color scheme and the gingerbread boy is so cute! Loving the photo at the end too! We’ve kept all of the Legos from when my kids were little too, I’m a bit of a Lego collector myself so couldn’t bring myself to get rid of them. I don’t have any grandkids but when I do I hope they will love playing with Legos as well 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing this week at Allsorts challenge!

Both cards are beautiful. The colors you’ve used are perfect. I think the deep rust just pulls you in and more so in the first card.
Thank you for joining us at Die Cut Divas for the Any Holiday Challenge this month. Arlene
